I'm going to paint the minivan in the next few weeks. Should I keep the hoodscoop and top mount and make it look more OEM (molded in) or should I ditch in and spend a weekend fabbing up a a smallish front mount setup?

Scoop as it is now... well, it has hoodpins now as well

as much as I wanted to choose option 3, we all know that you're going to continue to dump $$ in it, so I say use a little bondo to blend it in and make it look good with some paint.

Unless you plan on upgrading your turbo, a FMIC isn't really going to benefit you much. It's going to probably just tack on a little more lag and MAYBE give you a little more top end. You've already spent the time making that scoop into the hood, see if you can use that WRX TMIC I gave you forever ago and rig something up to get cold air to it.

He already did - the IC fits directly below that duct.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

What's wrong with that one then? That's a pretty decent intercooler, especially for your application. Those are usually good for a decent amount of power in teh werkses.

It fit perfect, so I'm tempted to fix the scoop and leave it as it is. The only reason I am really painting it is winter. Once snow and salt gets to it as bad at it is now it will rust to nothing. Also, a little paint will make it look less like a hoopty.
