Stay tuned for updates.

Chapin, G, RJ, and myself cruised up from the Mexican border today on a long excursion through hours of traffic and a pit stop on the side of the interstate to replace an exploded tire.

Finally here - campsite set up.

Oversized grill - check
Cows and other mammal parts - check
Beer - check
RJ coming out of the closet - check

Should be a good weekend - we'll be checking back periodically to report.

Man - take good pictures. I wish I could be there.
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

Whew this is fantastic. The weather is about 70-ish degrees with a cool sea breeze with a hint of high octane. Clear blue skies and the fastest motorcycles in the world.

Where am I posting from may you ask? The Moto GP Media Center. For this race I got granted press credentials through vtec.net. I'm hoping I can get some GP team interviews so in a few minutes I'm gonna go hunting for my quarry.

More later...

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Horry chit Lorenzo is here! The 250 class (Lorenzo is dominated that class right now and is supposedly riding for Yamaha next year) isn't racing here this weekend but Jorge Lorenzo just walked into the media center. What a surprise. Just got an interview with Neil Hodgson and I think I'm set to chat with Nicky Hayden's crew chief tonight. Wish me luck.

We almost got busted for fireworks but were able to escape the clutches of Monterey's finest. I figure if they did actually arrest John or RJ we would've just said that we thought the NO FIREWORKS signs on the bathroom doors around the track only meant you weren't supposed to set off fireworks in the bathrooms...

Well today wasn't quite as long as yesterday but I was able to interview Nicky Hayden's crew chief as well as take some pics from inside the Repsol Honda and Team KR Honda garages.

The crowd is either smaller this year or it is infinitely better managed because it is really easy to get around. The on track action has been pretty intense, with the Supersport race coming down to the last turn and Moto GP practice and qualifying had a bit of drama with some crashes and last minute master strokes.

Now that all my TOV duties are done for the weekend I think we might head out to Cannery Row for some debauchery.

Way to make Canada proud, Duhamel.

And way to prove me right in only a handful of laps. That GP ride was wasted on you.

Pissed off, actually. That ride never should have gone to him. Josh Hayes or someone else with an actual future in motorcycle racing should have been given the opportunity to show their stuff.

Instead they give it to Mr Centrum Silver, an AMA lifer now, who pulls in because he was scared and didn't want to risk anything. Duhamel is a tool.
