Literally life-changing experience!! Best weekend ever!

Alright so many of you know I did my HPDE weekend and had tons and tons of fun, and then even fewer know of what happened while I was there.....

So I was going towards grid driving my car and I saw a face I recognized, stopped and realized.....OMG...my brother....I havent seen since my father's funeral years and years ago, my sophomore year of High School. So we start catching up but HPDE is calling so I told him I would find him. Meet up with him and find out oh so much. My brother has always been distant as my family was not very close, and my mother tried to keep me away from track events which was my brothers specialty.... Professional motorcycle racing. To see him at the event was crazy. He is an instructor for Summit Point and has moved from motorcycle racing to car racing. Apparently he nows run an NSX and barely even mentioned it, I looked into it and OMG! Seriously sick shit!! Here are some details....

93 Acura NSX

Rebuilt everything with supercharger putting down an estimed 4-500 horsepower. He picked up the car a few years ago and has since won his class in SSGT1-SB at Cannonball One lap of America

....here are a few pictures, he is preparing it for UTC for next year....

The first picture has my brother's daughter in the car, thats why the passenger is so short...., I havent seen her since she was 4 years old...

I am so incredibly excited to finally be able to meet my brother and get to know him for real. It is awesome that we share the same passion too. Sorry, had to post this as this was something that has troubled me for many years always wanting to get in contact with him. And guess what??! I met him through NASA and their awesome event, LITERALLY bringing families together. OMG im just soo...I dont know what to say...

That's a great story DJ. Another tidbit of info.......he was initially wait listed as an instructor, and then got off the wait list. When I called to notify him that he had a spot as an instructor, he didn't think he would have a car to drive and debated about coming at all. But he said on the phone to me that he really didn't think he should miss this one even if he ended up having nothing to drive. And I guess he was right!
Thanks for your help on Friday for set-up and glad you had a good weekend,

I actually have a pic of your brother's NSX on my PDA. I saw it 2 years ago when I was flagging. It was definitely sex on wheels. Very cool.

Did your brother tell you he made it into GRM's Ultimate Track car challenge?
Two feet.

Actually my brother said nothing about it. I asked him why he was at a car event and he said he wanted to calm down a bit and went to cars. I asked him what car he had and he said NSX. Nothing else about it, talk about being conceded.

I am so excited to see the rest of my family and hopefully get much closer, Laura I thank you for pushing him that extra step to come.

Andy it was in the Ultimate Track Car Challenge? Damn, can I get that issue from somebody?? I will pay for it!

Naw thats from the 2005 Cannonball run.

And July is my next HPDE, my brother asked if I was going and I was like yes, and he asked if I could come down Friday, and I said sure. I told him I could help with the car, so you may see me over there helping/drooling over his car.
