Romanian AK -- Wood furniture, 2 mags

Has had maybe 100 rounds through it. 7.62X39, semi auto, 2 magazines: One 20 round, one 30 round. Wood stock and gas port cover, no bayonet, shoulder strap, and maybe 20 rounds of ammo. You can't be a felon or anything.

$325, or best offer, or trade for 9mm (Luger) auto pistol. Would prefer a Browning Hi-Power knockoff, but...whatever.

Solid wood, I don't think so (but maybe - I know some came with it), yes.

I'll get pictures for those who are interested...but it looks like an AK. It's my father in law's, he bought it after he fired my SKS, then realized that he had absolutely no use for it, and wants a 9mm auto pistol. His gun cabinet is now full since he got his .243 WSSM, so he's gotta clear some stuff out and the AK is the low gun on the totem pole.

You never could really tell me what you disliked about Romanian AK's. I mean, yeah, they aren't chinese or russian, but we don't all have 800 bucks to spend on an AK, either. It's got a chrome lined barrel, shoots really well, and takes doublestack mags...what's your complaint about them?

well i dont think its necessarily bad if its two people that know each other like rex and jeff clearly do. it'd be different if say someone who we didnt know who had like 1 previous post ended up buying it

I'm not going to let that happen. The only reason I put it up here is that I know there are some sporting firearm enthusiasts here, and instead of asking each one if they'd be interested, I just put it here. But if the mods don't want it, they can delete it, I won't be offended.

Ok, well the WASR-10 is Simply a cheaper Romanian version of the AK-47. The WASR is widely regarded as one of the cheapest variations, being only 'better' then the Century Arms crap. Century Arms guns are often not even chrome lined and they are parkerized. I believe the WASR is parkerized as well? Most Chinese (like mine), Egyptian (Maudi), and Russian guns are blued. Most of these are all stamped guns, unlike Russian and some Chinese guns that have milled receivers. Mine is stamped, but most people say the MAC-90 is the best stamped gun you can get. Also, some WASR guns only take 10rnd mags without modifications...yours might be of a pre-ban vintage where this is not the case, or your mags might be designed to overcome this issue.

So, my thoughts in brief...

Pros-
- Cheap to buy
- Classic design (military style furniture)
- Fairly "Universal"

Cons-
- Feel clunky and loose in your hands
- Laminated wood furniture
- Parkerized finish
- Some don't take hi-cap mags

I'm not hating...you asked...I told. Its a hell of a deal reguardless and if someone wants an AK this is what to get. As for the stock...Does it have little metal brads though it? Every WASR I have seen is dark wood with metal brads. I want the classic beechwood stock for mine.

I know, I'm just heckling rex...or maybe this is rex. If we are going blasting this weekend and he is trying to sell this gun for your dad he outta bring it out. If it really is beechwood and not as clunky as the other WASR-10s I have shot might add it to the collection.
