Local guys sets fastest Cobra stock pulley record

Quoted from another board I'm from. The guy who posted it is a friend of mine.

Almo (Allen) is a local in NoVa who always hangs out at the same shop I go to and is in the NVMC. He set the fastest time for stock pulley/non-ported eaton cobras at 11.09.

quote:

1st pass:
60'.......... 1.692
1/8.......... 7.162
MPH........ 99.83
1/4......... 11.090
MPH........ 125.71

His car is pretty sick. He has a solid rear swap and some GINORMOUS tires on it! Bunch of other crap too and did a lot of weight reduction and the guy only weighs like 150lbs himself."

Link to a video of the run:

Dude weighs 2990lbs car and gas. 3155lbs with driver. Pretty impressive run! There are pullied Cobras that are a LOT slower than that in the 1/4 8)

IMO they have probably the BEST sounding exhaust note with aftermarket pipes of any car I've ever heard. They hold their value pretty well still, I want to say you can get one in good shape for around 25K?

Wow, just a quick look on Autotrader and a bunch of them are in the 30k+ range!!

I think you'd have to look long and hard for a private buyer selling one to get a decent price.

Are you guys kidding? They don't hold their value at all and a good one with good mods can be found for under 30k. Lots of nice ones for 25ish.

I'm well aware of what is for sale on the svt forums. Might have to pick one of them up if you find a buy for the STi before I can get on it.
