I read 80+ a while back, dont know how accurate that was

It's going to be a hard sell at 80, methinks.
Especially when a 335i runs at 40. Once some tuners get a solid crack at it, and tighten the suspension, it might nip at the M3's heels.
What I'd like to see (and I believe I've said this before) is to skip the automatic, convertible, bullshit M3 and point those people towards the 335i. Then make the M3, well, what it used to be. A street legal racecar.

looking at this, and then looking back at the E36, its amazing how fat this looks. the E36 was so much more aggresive IMO.
i'd have to see it in person as that can really change an opinion but i'm underwhelmed.

Pretty wild looking. Unfortunate about the pricing if they really do make it so expensive.
The roof really is nuts.

preach on brother. That is precisely what I thought when I saw it, not to mention it's really downright ugly, IMO. If more of the world was like me, the Z4 coupe and 335i with its t-w-o turbos would be the only things keeping BMW in business. Everything else has gotten so watered down and bloated that I really don't like it, especially once price gets factored in.
I agree with scotty and dave, this thing looks a like fat albert. I have a feeling it's going to weigh in at around 3600 lbs... maybe more. And it doesn't look like it belongs on a race track, it looks sleek and smooth like a lot of the Mercedes line but just not racy like an M3 should be. I guess I should have seen this coming though...

Looks very nice. I wanna see the rear. I like the CSL inspired bits on it.

+1. Maybe they could even bring back the factory-installed rollcage, like the 2002's
Too bad it will never happen again.

i think it looks damn good. I actually like the design over the e46. I think the e30 m3 is still the hotness, but this new e92 m3 is pretty appealing.

Pretty much...I've just never liked the Bangle-designed BMW's. But as a whole I'm interested to see what will happen with Euro performance...apparently this new (possibly diesel powered?) Audi R8 broke some sort of gentleman agreement that no other Euro maker would directly challenge the Porsche 911. I always thought that the other marques simply didn't care, with their well established M and AMG models, but maybe BMW will up the ante a bit with this one and go after the 911.

mmmmmm, delicious.
I love the look of the last gen M3s, but the new ones look like they have Down Syndrome. I really really don't like the front end, especially seeing that new front in person on the Z4s.

Eh, I like it. I wouldn't like an 80k price tag. If it stayed under 60, it'd be great. It looks great. It looks great. I hope it's not too fat. It looks great.
I don mind the front, but i hate how plain and generic looking the rear/taillights are
