Hey guys, figured I would open this up to Madison Motorsports as well. I just copy-pasted the thread from our forum (http://www.carclubvt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14216). I guarantee you will have a blast if you go! Feel free to ask any questions.

Last year six of us drove down to Sebring and had a fucking blast. Amazing cars, amazing track, amazing parties, and it'll only get better with more CCVT members. Ask anyone who went last year if they had a good time.
People who went last year:
Matt (afterburn27)
John (Philly)
Justin (Mindspin)
John (Shotgunner)
Stephen (Techteg)
Jason (AlienInv8r)
The 12 hour ALMS race is on Saturday March 17 (weekend AFTER spring break) and there are all kinds of support races and practice sessions in the preceding days. We plan on leaving Blacksburg Wednesday evening/night and getting to the campsite (yes, we camp, don't be pussies) Thursday afternoon which leaves us plenty of time to set up camp and enjoy the support races.
Here is a quick and dirty rundown of the costs for the weekend:
Tickets: $45/person
Gas: roughly $200/car (normal sedans, i.e. not SUV's)
Parking: $10/car
Food: roughly $60 per person
Misc. (alcohol, merchendise, etc.): depends on how much we drink lol
Total: ~ $200
Last year they had a student discount for anyone with a school ID and you could buy tickets at the gate for around $30 each. IÔÇÖm checking to see if they still have that deal before we pay for tickets. If we do end up ordering tickets beforehand I will need money from everyone before February 15, but hopefully we will get the poor college student discount.
Update: ***$45 tickets at the gate if you have a student ID***
Sebring is about 800 miles away from Blacksburg (13 hours) and we just take turns driving, packing in the redbull. We leave a little bit after the race ends on Saturday night and get back into cowtown sometime Sunday afternoon which allows plenty of time to do your homework that's due Monday, not to mention all the down time in the car. So no complaining about homework, bitches.
I am volunteering the Mazduh3 for one car, but we will need another car or two depending on how many people we get.
Supposedly John (Philly) and Justin (Mindspin) are flying down to FL and maybe meeting John's uncle who is a car nut and owns an RV. I'm not too sure what is happening there, so they can post updates.
Now get off your asses, mark the dates on your calendars and put some money away for this trip. You will not regret it.
