Well, it's about time I shared this with the group...
Jess and I closed on a house last Friday. It's in Fluvanna County, VA - the mailing address is Palmyra, but the house itself is way out in the country. Why did we buy a house in Palmyra? I got a great job offer from a software development firm in Charlottesville - and we both decided that NoVA held no more charm for us
So by July we'll be living just southeast of Charlottesville. Yes, there will be a party. And no, Mapquest doesn't have our place listed at all. Apparently, gravel roads don't count. That being said, we'll only be a couple of hours from VIR, so hopefully I can expect to get down there much more often. And of course VMP is less than an hour away.
The lot itself is 2.15 acres. Yes, there will be a mini rally course. Bring your own volvo :twisted:

As for the house, 3br/2bath, and most importantly, a 2-car garage. The L already has one side reserved through the winter, for a complete top-down clean-up and refresh... It's also got a cool nook in the garage that I'm considering for a built-in wheel/tire rack. Also cool is the fact that our next-door neighbor (one of the two houses we can see from ours) drag-races an old-skool 515ci Camaro (he was headed out to VMP this weekend)..
So, life is good. Any MM-er in the area or passing through is always welcome (but for my sake please call ahead!) - we'll have a guest room. You bring the beer
