We went on some cool trips last year and there's some great racing to watch in 07. I know I'm going to at least three big pro races next year
12 Hours of Sebring (FL) - Mar 16-17
-I'm in, Leech may be in too
-Airfare is right around $200 right now
-120k fans typically come out for this, including lots of Spring Breakers
-Just about every performance marque will be racing that weekend including Porsche, Ferrari, Chevrolet, TVR, Aston Martin, Honda (new Acura LMP2 program), Saleen, etc. World Challenge Touring and GT will also be racing that weekend.
Formula 1 Canadian GP at Montreal - June 8-10
-Andrew and I are gonna catch this one I think
-Montreal is considered the most fun city in Canada and the parties during the F1 weekend are supposedly wild
Moto GP at Laguna Seca - July 20-22
-6 of us are going to this again (+Jess)
-I've had a blast both years I've gone and everyone had a good time last year
RJ has talked about doing a European round of Moto GP or something and I'm sure there are some other events people might be interested in so post up ideas. If you're interested post up too so we can talk logistics, tickets, accomodations, debauchery, etc.

Montreal is great, I'd like to make that one depending on departure and return dates.
Sadly, I won't be doing Laguna again this year because of a longish vacation just a week before that.
I'm actually going to be in the area for the Moto GP Dutch TT on 6/30 so let me know if anyone is interested in that.

My trips will include Daytona 24 Hour, Sebring 12 Hour, MotoGP Laguna Seca, and probably Petite Le Mans at Road Atlanta.
You should replace one of those with F1 in Montreal.

I'm going to do everything I can to get out to the Nurburgring this summer. Other European tracks are on my list that I'd like to see, but thats my number one.
That'll be really mfn' sweet, I assume you read about the Chapins/Prestons trip there last year. Are you gonna try to coordinate a trip to Nurburgring with some other event there (i.e. F1, DTM, etc)?

Chan and I were talking about taking a trip to Spain this year, and of course a quick stop by the Nurburgring might be scheduled in as well, this time renting a car in Germany so we can get a BMW. I did notice there's a F1 race at the 'ring in July...

I would like to get a ride along...either in the Ring Taxi or the Zakspeed Viper, both of which you can pay for ride alongs. But I'd just like to go and spectate really. I'll have to see what is happening over the summer there. If anyone else is going to Europe this summer let me know
i'm thinking of the F1 race in Montreal now. I have a coworker i can stay with up there, plus he told me the parties were ridiculous!

I am heading down with some NASA people, Mark, Packer, Felton, Bridges, and two people I am going to Sebring with. Not crewing, just spectating. Camping out at Turn 4, leaving NoVA Thurs night and meeting up in Richmond with Packer to drive through the night. Will be back Sun night late!
