So about a month ago my phone died so I went to Verizon and luckily I was up for an upgrade. Only 100 bucks so I picked out something for 99.99. I wanted something robust and nice looking. I went with a Samsung A950.
Has a 1.3 megapixel camera, mp3 player with controls for the mp3 player on the front, is a flip phone, has a port for micro sd card, and a few other cool features.
I tried out the phone and picked up a micro sd card for real cheap. You can put pictures, videos, mp3s, and all this shit on this small card and put it into the phone. Its a 1gb so it fits a lot.
Also when you take pictures on the phone you can put em on the card and put it on the computer through your computer port ( I have a sony computer so it has ports directly ont he front for memorry cards instead of a usb cable)
I am hugely impressed with the camera on the phone, I thought it wasnt gonna be that great, but damn...heres a sample photo, I took when I got my car outta the shop.
Onto the mp3 player, I tried looking mp3s and it didnt work, the phone wouldnt recognize it and I wwas confused. I checked on a few forums and it turns out verizon disables the feature so it can only use mp3s downloaded from verizon (of course a fee for this). Well there is a way to get around it so all I have to do is enter a few codes and open up the menu so now I can play mp3s loaded from my sandisk. Its pretty awesome.
I wouldnt have these features unless this phone was essentially free for me so its really amazing how far technology has advanced and how cheap it has become. Big ups to advancing technology.
