MM 3: Teaser Trailer

Hey all, well I made a trailer for the next movie I'm making, you can download it here

Click "Free" at the bottom of the right side list, then I believe you wait 30 seconds to download. Its ~24MB, Quicktime .mov format (encoded in the old H261 format for compatibility). I hope you can all view it. Comments welcome!

Thanks for the replies, the song is called "Navras" by Juno Reactor. I may wait until after the dyno day/car show, karting, and any track events I can get to before I produce the final thing (prob have ~10 minutes worth right now)...either way it'll be on DVD

looks good Goodspeed!

i like how you made the beginning kind of dramatic with the long pauses. i also like some of the more abstract shots.

if i could request what i'd like to see more of, it would be to keep that hand more steady (i know im an ass) and i'd like to see more "smoothness", and by that i mean maybe fading into and out of some things instead of cutting straight from one thing to the next.

i also enjoyed that panning shot towards the end with the mazdaspeed protege. maybe more shots that follow the cars, and less that force the camera to go where you go?

lastly, lets get some in-car racing footage and track footage in there. i know Evan, RJ, Chad and even myself have some pretty solid footage.

don't take this as anything more than some random ideas/constructive crtisism that i'm throwing out. i can't do a thing with a video camera so i have nothing on your skills, thats for sure.

I know what you mean, I have a small tripod thats sort of effective at times and I need to get a nice big one. The program I used to make this is a few years old and is a little "notchy" to work with, its sometimes tough to be precise...the new one I have will help improve transitions I'm sure.

I do try to shoot like that when I can, I have a lot of other footage that I think is like that, we'll see

I was thinking the same thing...perhaps I could get out to Summit or something and get some ride alongs, or you guys could submit some stuff (though its easier to work with footage I shoot for compatibility, I can't do anything w/ windows media etc)

I appreciate it, I think i'd like to get as much footage as I can from as many MM events as I can go to, and really take my time with this one, I dont' want to get over my head and say it'll be the best thing ever, but I want it to be much better than the others

nothin like more and more experience to take care of that. it's already a good video, you can't go anywhere but up
