I can always bail on my lease, garage space is very important to me now and not to any of my friends..
+1 for possibly interested.

Guys, dont forget that if you move into a group house with garage space, dont assume you're getting a garage spot to keep your busted ass hooptie in all the time or will be able to work on your shit all the time.
I'm not likely to move since my current situation is pretty good (and I dont like you guys anyways ), but I'll entertain whatever comes up.

what he said.
my racecar lives in the garage because its not watertight, but it will move around when others need to wrench bikes will probably get priority of the other spot, since they are the biggest theft risks, and there will probably be a ton of tools, benches, engines, etc too wrenching is, of course open to anyone, with some shuffling around of vehicles.

.RJ Wrote:Guys, dont forget that if you move into a group house with garage space, dont assume you're getting a garage spot to keep your busted ass hooptie in all the time or will be able to work on your shit all the time.I would expect that rules of necessity apply here. Meaning those vehicles that should absolutely be kept out of the public eye would get priority, for examples, motorcycles, cars that can't legally be parked on the street for fear of being towed, rarer vehicles. So for me all I need is spot for my motorcycle, the 4Runner, and the Miata can stay out on the street as far as I care. As for not being able to work on your shit all the time, I would expect as roommates people should give eachother common courtesy. They shouldn't have issue with other roommates moving their cars when work absolutely needs to be done on another vehicle. For example in your current situation, roommate needs to work on car and you're not home. If I was the roommate I wouldn't expect to hear you bitch and complain if I moved the teg out of the garage (as long as it was able to be moved) in order to do some work on my own car that would be done within the same day. That being said, as the roommate that needs to work on the car notice should be given to that person taking up space in the garage that you plan to work on the car if notice can be given and give you the opportunity to move it on your own. Now if it was something where I came home and needed to do the work right then and you weren't around to tell I'm moving the teg with or without giving you notice.

Well as long as its in the driveway its generally not a problem. If it was a house like G, Mike and BJ are living in then I wouldnt mind the integra at the end of the driveway under a cover with a 4runner blocking it in at all.

lol... my shit pile has never seen the inside of a garage for any length of time... espeically not over night. If its got the space i'd like to keep whatever bike i end up with in there... but if not i can keep it in the back yard
yes i would move your race cars if i needed to wrench. but i'd put them right back. and any LONG project goals, well my car can be taken apart in the drive way with little fear of anything disapearing off of it. i'm sure that we can all be fairly flexable with the car situation and the wrenching issues... at no point would i want either of the two race cars out side over night... i know both RJ and Evan put alot of time and money into them. but for god sakes keep me in the loop, i do have to give my land lord 30 days notice. so i need to know things asap... but i need to move

I don't need to give any more than 30 days notice either so I'm down for this if the place is decent enough. I don't need to move, got a good situation financially, but it'd be nice to be in a better place.

Went to look at a house in oakton yesterday
4BR, 2800 sq ft, 1 level with big finished basement, a 2 car attached garage, and a 3 car detached workshop! Huge property on over 2 acres, and set back from the road. The drawback is that its not really off any major highways. Its right by lawyers road but its a pretty secluded/private area. The address is 11600 Stuart Mill Road Oakton VA Here are a few pics i snapped http://www.flickr.com/photos/85711738@N00/tags/oakton/ there seemed to be quite a bit of interest with people I talked to at the party last night, so let me know who is serious. Rent will be right around $600, give or take 10 or 20 depending on the room.

Lets set up a time to go take a look.

i would definitely be down, depending on the condition and amenities of the place.
that's not as secluded as i thought, not anymore than where i live now anyway Dragon Wrote:I don't need to give any more than 30 days notice either so I'm down for this if the place is decent enough. Damn that place is pretty sweet =D
Hrmmmmm I'm kinda liking the no rent thing, but it would be nice to have some garage space and a big yard again.

I went up there tonight and the only thing I didnt like is that it has a gravel driveway, but I guess thats something you'd just learn to deal with.

(assuming it would, but i would still like to ask) and is there a waster/dryer provided? amount for deposit, etc. i could move in as soon as yesterday
