There is nothing wrong with this mixing desk. It's more than i need as an individual recording and playing for fun (and i need money). I acquired it from my girlfriends brother who used it and loved it. He was upgrading to 2, 24 channels mixers because he ran out of inputs. He DJ's sometimes in the D.C. area and does his own music plus doing things for others. He used this board with no problems or gripes and it's quiet for its age. It's an old workhorse and is built like one. Perfect for a small band looking for a road worthy mixer. It has some marks on the veneer, but nothing to hinder performance. I don't have a case, but getting one for travel wouldn't be hard.


Also, I prefer "NOT" shipping this item. It's too risky and i wouldn't trust parcel service with it. I can drive to meet someone or you can come to pick it up. It measures 32 wide, 29 deep, 11 high and is 95lbs

just to add...


if you know some people who have a band, help me out please. this thing is great and would get a lot more use if it was in the hands of a band. Yamaha is known for great mixers, especially back in the day when this thing was made. i only have my bass and guitar hooked up to it and there's a potential of another 14 hookups not getting used.

something to think about when talking to friends or if someone looking at this might be interested.

this thing might not be something you want as a daily gig mixer when traveling (unless it's all you got ). not that it sucks or anything, but technology has allowed us to have much smaller mixers. example, this is the one i'll be using when i sell the big one.



12 channels and about a 9th of size of the big one. doesn't have all the things the big mixer has, but for what i do it's still a lot.

the big mixer would be great for a band that has a rehearsal place where they hook up the PA system. this way you could leave everything hooked up and not have to unload the gig gear. at least that's what i would do.

thinking about it, trying to decide if I can see it in our setup....we do need more inputs to mic the drums the way they should be.

it will definitely handle that, plus a whole lot more! you could mic each of the drums independently of each other and still have enough for the guitars, the bass, vocals. this will be enough for a small band to run a PA no problem with stage monitors. which is why i don't need it. i'm just one guy, playing one instrument, at one time. 15 other channels going to waste.

i've already unhooked everything to clean it up a little, kinda dusty

and i'm gonna do this.
