I think that the power claims are outrageously inflated, and I don't think the design is really made for reliability.

It's just a toroidal piston engine.

where'd you hear about it? Are there some other sites that discount his claims? I wonder what he's working on these days to improve reliability? If he painted it all blue like that that CTD, that'd probably help! 8)
