Its Definitely Sucking
Well here's the damage. Not all bad, have all the parts together or on their way except for the upper fairings which I will leave alone for now and a new set of tires.
Windscreen missing
Custom flat-top gas tank
Detachable handlebar is t3h h0tness
rrrrrrrrrash!
The old tire
Date of manufacture - 2000 hock:
So the moral of this story is 1) dont do dumb shit, 2) dont do dumb shit when its cold outside because bike tires dont work very well in the cold, and 3) take better care of your equipment, especially if you are going to do dumb shit.

1997 yamaha YZF 750
I dumped it in the parking lot last weekend doing stupid shit.
I'm fine, my knee took a scraping but thats it - my gear did its job. I'll never ride without it.

The tank, clip on and upper fairings are damaged due to sliding into the tire of a SUV.

well "stupid shit" falls into a broad catagory...

I posted in a few other threads.
One more time -
It was saturday night (cold) with those old tires (dumb in any conditions) doing wheelies in the parking lot. My own fault, I binned it, and the bike slid into the SUV tire. Expensive lesson in time and place for stupid shit, and keeping your equipment maintained.

ohh shit..sorry man that sucks....did u get a tank slapper or somthin when u came down or did it all go wrong from the start..i hope u get the bike together soon....and by the way...april 24th MMC is having thier official ride of the year....u should come if ur bike is ready by then...laterz
1997 yamaha YZF 750
Nah, the tire had no heat in it and as soon as it got it up, the tire just spun up and spit me off. I was really suprised, with a 600, and it was the 4th or 5th wheelie.
But, live and learn. I'll have it back together sometime next month, I have to focus on getting ready for the next Honda Challenge race (May 5-6)

ya man...get michellin pilot power or dunlop qualifier...those tires stick no matter how cold it is outside....well they will cost ya 200 ..but i m tel;lin ya its worth it...
1997 yamaha YZF 750
Yep, pilot powers are going to be ordered next week after I get paid. No excuse for rolling around on those old busted tires.

yeah i have them on my bike now....even when i take it to the drag strip i dont have to do a burnout...they just stick....but they do wore out faster than other tires
1997 yamaha YZF 750
Pilot powers all the way, recommended even by squids.
yeah they stick....smoke up really fast in a burn out too!
RJ - did your bike tumble? Snapped the LEFT sideclip-on, upper fairing stay, front cowl, AND rashed the RIGHT? dang...how did that happen from a wheelie without your bike flipping.
Silver/Blk 05 600RR(sold!)
New ride: 2006 squidder 1000
Nope, no tumbling. Spun up, spit me off, and fell on the right side. Fairing stay is still ok
