Passenger pegs
#1
Is there any reason to keep your passenger pegs on the bike if you have changed to a solid rear cowl and never intend on taking a passenger?

If you need to know the bike it's an 05 600RR

Not sure how they are on an RR, but on my F4i I believe they help in the event of a laydown. If you have frame sliders, just make sure they take the place of the pegs and I say delete 'em!

why ride if you cant pick up dirty women? its like pancakes with no syrup. you can do it but why bother.

but they really are one more thing to pierce your body if you have a nasty situation.

I came down off a circle wheelie and had a peg completely smash my cell phone in my pocket in a million pieces and gave me a laceration that I couldnt walk for a week.
a local guy lowsided a circle wheelie and had a peg go in his thigh.

And a fella in florida about 6 years ago flipped an endo and had a peg go through his helmet and kill him

i'm sure they can offer some protection, but as seen with Sameer's bike i doubt it'll protect that rear fairing. I say just take'm off, you can't take a passenger anyway.

hes right ya know.
you prolly have a real nice F3 for all I know, Im just messing with ya, but the F3 is the DOPE DOPE DOPE learner stuntbike. i couldn't recommend a better streetbike to learn on. (its always better to learn on an ATV though FYI Smile )

built like a tank, stunts well with stock gears. parts are a plenty. most parts interchangeable with a decade of F2/F3 900rr

Well its nice, but not that nice.

I wouldnt mind bringing it out once I get some frame sliders on it though.

just take them off! I took the pegs off on my 600RR. Only put them back on because i was selling the bike. THey don't do jack when you lowsides your bike, the peg will just fold backup. Even if you just drop it at a stop it still won't save much. I know all that for a fact.....its sad that i do....

Late to the thread of course, but on the Ninja, I zip-tied the passenger pegs out of the way, since I seemed to walk into them in the garage on a weekly basis...

sweet man
sliders are awesome, but people find the engine cases to be the stuff that breaks riding wheelies, frame sliders dont help much. cage is the first choice, but Ive gotten away with some ghettofabulous extended frame sliders. if your in the tysons area i can make you some in 2 minutes if you cover the steel
