Question about GSXR header
#1
I know a few people on another forum that run a GSXR 1000 header on a GSXR 600 with a slip on or bolt on pipe. Do you guys think this will get around the same airflow/power of a full system? Seems like a cheap option that's worth it even if it only gains a few HP.

what are the dimension differences between the two? I would assume the 1000 header is slightly wider or longer or both to compensate for the larger displacement. I guess it would help, sure. I don't know if i'd spend the money on that kind of enhancement though.

You also run the risk of killing what little midrange power a 600 has with large diameter primaries. The big advantage of going to an aftermarket exhaust system is to drop weight from the bike - you wont make that much power over stock.
