There's a wash just up the street from sheets across from the batting cages. I would bring my own bucket/soap and pay for the water.

that's what i do as well. I hate not having a hose, and the high spray washers don't really get the dirt off. Just make it quick if the employee's are there or they'll give you hassel.

Use a good wash mitt, and dry it with something that doesnt scratch up the paint (absorber + 100% cotton towell).

The carwash at sheetz is touchless, and you get a dollar off with a gasoline purchase.

Having fulfilled my plug requirement as a Sheetz employee, I can now tell you:

It sucks.

There is a peterson's in harrisonburg, they're touchless, and do a good job. There's also a ?miracle wash? just up University bvd from sheetz, over by midas, etc. I think that's what it's called. Their car wash is craaaaazy. Did a very nice job on my car, in my opinion.

Anyway, sheetz is good for food. Not car washes. Our carwash has given us nothing but problems since we put it in, and now there's going to be a peterson's RIGHT BESIDE US.

Oh, the irony.

well, it would appear that the carwash question has been pretty thoroughly answered. I personally just wash it with my own materials, which is one of the few perks of having a house.

As to the keying, yes, it was probably mine. To my knowledge, there have only been two other mkIV supras that resided in Harrisonburg since I've owned mine, and both of those were owned by the same guy (he sold his white TT, and bought a black one with a single turbo). I bought the car Jan 3 my Sophomore year (which would have been way back in Jan '02) and the car was keyed on the weekend before finals of that same semester. The only panel they didn't get was the targa top and the hood, surprisingly enough.
Apparently, the rear tires were also slashed from the inside, but not enough to actually deflate the tire. As I drove on them (didn't know they were cut) they eventually blew out on me; luckily never while I was on the interstate. I'm not sure how feasible this is, but thats what I was told was most likely to have been the case.
The total repair cost was well over 3 grand, but I was able to get my insurance to take care of most of it and had it back to its original condition by the time I returned for my junior year.
Fuck haters.

damn dave, i definitely feel for you, some haters back home were letting air out of my tires for some odd reason (never tried to key the primer). But i found out who was doing it and gave them an oil change, sans oil (drain plugs are always nice and easy to get to and an adjustable wrench fits all). Who woulda known that the engine would lockup right as they turned the key, shucks. At JMU its a little harder to find who would do such heinous acts but if you ever do im sure there would be a large mob ready to teach that person a lesson Smile

The GCC baseball team took some liberties with my old Talon's lugnuts after I took some liberties with the pitcher's woman, Shauna.

God, she was gorgeous. First time I ever met her, she was wearing a sheet and asking me if I had time to give her a massage.

ANyway, I caught the loose lugs before disaster struck.
