I've gotta say that Rossi is the most entertaining guy in motorsport in a long time. I'm still mad at him for stuffing Sete in the season opener but its hard not to like the guy.

Well damn, thats most my motorsport heroes too.... also I'd add in Perry McCarthy, not because he was fast but because of his hilarious stunts and determination to 'make it'. Also Phil Hill as well.

Schwantz and Rainey were one of the greatest rivalries. Its awesome because I believe they competed with each other in the US before moving to Grand Prix racing, and at one point I believe one of them dated the other's sister! My other pick for greatest rivalry would be Senna and Prost.
Another great rivalry that is shaping up right now is Bubba vs. Carmichael, I really hope we get to see at least 2 or 3 years of them battling it out.

When I got to go to the Road Atlanta ALMS/World Challenge weekend for free as a guest of Realtime through Vtec.net I had to hide my dislike of Pierre. He won the race and I asked some question to be polite but it was kind of a stretch... Especially since he was less than friendly the first time I met him at the National GP.
Tell you what though, Nicky Hayden is a class act. He sounds country but he seems so down to earth and cool anytime he's interviewed and he was definitely humble and cool at Laguna Seca, which is more than I can say for another former Repsol Honda rider.
