I think I'm going to head down to VIR this Spring to do a track day. Anyone have any experience with any of the track schools and programs there? I figure I might as well get the experience since we're not too far away.

I have been to VIR, but only got on track in a Buick.

I hear consistently good things about the Cornerspeed school at VIR. Pete might be heading out there next season too so maybe you guys could get together a MM bikes track group.
I don't know whether I'm gonna have a bike by then but if I do I def wanna do a track day out there with you guys.

I've been looking into cornerspeed and I've heard a lot of good things about them as well. Sportbike Track Time also got a lot of praise, mostly for having the best beginner classes. I guess I'll have to keep looking. And about gear...yes it's expensive but it is probably the most worthwhile thing you could do for your riding. I've seen people with roadrash and I know that I don't ever want that, and if having a suit is the only way I can get on a track then I'll get a suit.
Well looks like STT doesn't do VIR anymore. That makes this a hell of a lot easier.
im signed up for march 12 at VIR through neesba - gonna be my first time at the track with the bike
