my batteries half dead... i can jump it or pop the clutch but it wont do me any good cause the alternator wont charge it.
If your alternator wont charge it, then what makes you think a battery charger will?
Lead-acid batteries are peculiar animals. They dont like being drained, at _all_
If it wont crank your car over, then the battery has been reduced to 20%-30% of its maximum total capacity anyway.
The easiest and probably best solution is to pick up a new battery.
i ended up swappin the battery out with my friends and he drove around for a while to get it charged up.... my alternator wouldnt charge it cause the tensioner bolt was fucked up-->causeing there to be no pressure on the belt, i just needed it to be full so i could make it to the shop to get fixed. thanks though
