Sunday October 16th RICHMOND AUTOCROSS!!

Alright since im not flagging that weekend, I have to get some sort of automotive kick in so im going to richmond to autocross on sunday. Whoever mentioned it last night please give more details. I will be most likely heading down and staying at a friend's saturday night for vcu but im sure he can maybe accomodate more people...I will see depending on who is interested. Let me know!

what happened?? if you did "horrible," who cares! don't stress about your times, you're not competing for a trophy or title. At least you were out learning more about your car and yourself as a driver.

true, true. did you have fun? that's what you gotta ask yourself at the end of the day when you and the car are tired from some cone killing.

if it makes you feel any better, my first autocross was a joke, of course. i took my stock accord out there and lurched all over the place. i felt like i was trying to ride a blind clydesdale with asthma....no skill at all. but hey, i learned from it and did good next time i went out.

Lol I had a bad day for other reasons, I did horrible in the fact that I was in too high of a class for my car, or that the cars I went against had a little edge. I beleive I beat everyone in stx class except for this heavily sponsored mini with slicks and upgraded supercharger and I dont know what else.

It mainly was horrible because I kept thinking I was at the limit (second autocross with new rims and tires, this time I had enough air in them). So I posted around 65 second times, then last run on the back corners about halfway I just decided to give it more gas......and it held on...and then more gas...and it held on more, it didnt fucking give up....nevertheless I posted a 61 second time which I definitely could have improved on.

Plus VCU parties suck ass, the night before I was there and it took forever to find a good party and I only got 4 ying-ling beers and all the bitches were ugly.

Ohter than that....I love autocross, come on, I did it every other if not every weekend during the summer, although ive only had 2 autocrosses in the past 2 months its alright cuz im preparing for a new setup. Dont get me wrong, I still had a fun time.

My first four autocrosses I posted really good times and never hit a cone, never got any help from anyone and none of my friends were there. The fifth autocross my friends were there......hit every cone on the course it seemed. At the end of the day I fucking got annoyed so decided to go crazy and just go buckwild on the last run.........................

I come through with what seemed like a good run and purposefully locked up the brakes and took out like half the cones in the stop box (not purposefully hit half of em, maybe 2) Then they usually call it off course or whatever, but they were like surprised. They told me I had a 28 second run, fucking unbeleivable because it was the same time the top car which had slicks and everything had. But it didnt count cuz I hit all the cones and was stupid and wasted it.

Nevertheless, my friends were there and I now have tons of respect from them. I havent once been made fun of for my driving now....lol

I have to agree... Driving down back alleys in an attempt to get to my friend's place down Grace St. A little bit hairy to say the least... :?

yeah and when I parked my car I disconneced my coil pack cuz I was so worried. lol. And I kept lookig back at my car while walking away scared it was the last time I was gonna see it.
