Deutschland, France, Luxembourg, and The Netherlands pics

As most of you know I studied abroad for a month in Saarbrucken. I was there from 15 June and got back back yesterday. I took lots of pictures. I also visited Frankfurt, Heidelburg, Amsterdam, Paris, and Luxembourg City. I will try and post some of the better pictures I took. It was a great experience. I stayed in a youth hostel in Saarbrucken which is a few kilometers from the French border. One thing about there is that the girls are hot and seem to carry themselves very well. They walk or bike everywhere and use their cars sparingly because gas is $5.00 a gallon over there. Prositution is also legal and the prostitutes try their best to make eye contact with you.


Paris is expensive as shit, and the traffic there sucks dick. Escargo is good, especially with Garlic and melted butter. The cars there are tiny and much more fuel efficient. Germany buses run on Natural Gas. You can drive ATVs on the street. All of the German highways are called the Autobahn, there are just certain sections that have an unlimited speed.

You can see below the Mona Lisa in the background inside the Louvre musem in Paris. Thank God we got in free because it was the first Sunday of the Month, 3 July. The admission was 8,50 Euro.

What do you recommend seeing in Luxembourg? I plan on driving through there on 9/3 on my way to Brussels from Frankfurt, and would like to stop by for a few hours. Also should go a bit west to the Ardennes Forest to see where some WWII history was made (especially since my grandfather was there). Oh yeah, next day will be the 'Ring.

Anyways, suggestions on Luxembourg would be helpful since I've never been there.

Yeah I definitely wanted to see the Ardennes Forest as well because that is where Bastogne was fought. I suggest going to Luxembourg City. Although it is a little pricey, the food is excellent, and it has a nice pedestrian zone. I also recomment the Chateau de Vianden which is a castle about 1 hour or so North of Luxembourg City. I can post pictures of that as well. Yeah I didn't get to see the Nurburgring, kinda pissed about that. But oh well, I did get to see a lot.

I will have to call my grandfather this weekend to see what he recommends... although I'm not sure if he can provide me with that insight since he was with the mechanized calvary, might not have the "details" on the area, and am not sure if he has returned to the area since 1945 (he doesn't talk much about it).

Yeah I am a WWII buff and would love to go back to Europe and go see some of the movements that the Allies took in 44'-45'. I didn't get to see any sites when I was there.
