after dethroning the Big Mac of the honor of fastest top speed in a production car, they're goin after the 'ring. early tests look promising.

i can't wait to see how this bad boy comes along in the next few years. i've always been a fan of the car, and its good to see there is some more competition in the supercar arena.

top speed is ghey, but kudos for tackling the 'ring.
do any of the other supercar manufacturers take that seriously? If they claim fastest lap on the ring just because the other makes havent really made a real attempt, it doesnt mean much IMO. I also wonder what the "rules" are. The article just says "road legal" so I kind of doubt its exactly how the car rolls off assembly. At least street legal racing tires Im sure.
that car is definately damn sexy, thats for sure.

agreed
i know porsche does (seriously), and i think ford and GM (not a supercar manfucturer but they build some fast stuff) did some testing on it and noted times (i forget what they were). other than that its mostly the tuners that like to show off their ring times
agreed x 10

eh, i missed it. if it was a big black car with dyhedralsynchrosonic doors or whatever the hell they call them, then yeah. plus the car sounds intense.

the wheels look awesome...they have the oval shapes much like the new 6-series optional wheels.

the car does look nice. I missed the top gear, but was browsing around the site from the link and I'd have to say that's a thumbs-up

According to a german auto mag (i have the link but its in german) the 7:30 mark was already broken by the Carrera GT.
The Z06 ran a 7:40, and supposedly will try to make a run for the record.
Right now the record for a non-modified car (Although not mass produced) is 7:18 by a Donkervoort RS (super 7 replica)
