Not even close. A Gixxer 750 is faster so you know the liter bikes will leave the MV well done.
Compared to the other v-twin sport bikes like the Honda RC51, Ducati 999, and Aprilia RSV Mille it probably does ok though.

Yes, good analogy. Its not slow per se, but there are more focused bikes that are faster. Like Lamborghini, MV doesn't have any race programs. Its the kind of thing you'd buy if you wanted to have something rare and unique but not what you'd buy if you wanted do battle at the track.

MV just released (or is about to) a 1000 which is supposed to be a damn sight quicker than the poor old shoddy 750.... don't know how much quicker, though.
