Ill be working at BLS this summer (Bureau of Labor Statistics), starting this monday. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody else was working downtown (DC) that I could maybe meet up with. BLS is right across the street from Union Station, so Im lookin for some people that might wanna eat lunch sometime, or catch a nationals game after work  . If any of you guys work downtown and wouldnt mind meeting up, just post and we can work somethin out. Thanks!

So is there anybody else besides Mike and I that would be up for going to see a Nats game after work some day this summer? Nobody ever responded =-/ so I thought Id throw this out there one more time.
On a side note I had no idea how active federal employees are throughout the day. There are soccer games going on during lunch at the mall, and softball games and such going on after work. Theres always some kind of seminar about a topic (such as Korean Cuisine) during the day. I really am enjoying working at BLS, and the freedom an office job brings. At the same time I never knew I could be so interested in the work I do that pertains to statistics, and am considering making that my concentration for my Math major.
And there is this unbelievably hot asian girl here

Haha i was gonna say they all are about your guys age. They all are Econ majors, graduating from arround 2000-2001. Apparently all the young ppl (26 ish) came in at the same time in, in a span of about a year from 2001-2002. There all really nice, pretty good people to work with/hang out with.
An interesting fact I found out today: 982 kids applied for 22 internships here.....  hock:
it pays to have a relative in the government......... :lol:
Oh, and one last thing. Does anybody know SAS that I could maybe ask a few questions to in the future? Im gonna take a three day course given by the Gov to learn SAS, but I also have somethin to help me teach myself. I dont really need to know it for this job, atleast not yet anyway, but ill be learning it at school soon enough if i take higher level Stats classes so I might as well. Same goes with Access, if any of you are experienced with databases I will probably be abusing your knowledge soon enough =-)

well since nobody else responded (I hate you all ) is there a specific day you two would want to see a game? Or maybe a specific team your waiting for to come into town? Im all free for the rest of the summer, w/the exception of June 30th when my office is actually going to a Nats game (instead of the office picnic  )
