Thank You Officer Albertson

what a great day in the burg. I go to blue ridge tire and auto and get 2 new front tires (Fuzions) and i was gonna get my inspection done too but they said my front pads are too worn(had new pads in a box for a year now, just gotta put em on) also my front driver side wheel bearing is loose (i know someone in MM has a bearing press, maybe i can use your assistance to fixing this and throw you some cash). Anyways so i told them to go ahead and leave the dead inspection on the car and not put a failed inspection on. I pull out of Blue ridge tire and not 20 feet down the road a bike cop is staring me down........here it goes, i of course get pulled over. He pulls me over and i tell him my front plate was stolen........he doesn't give 2 shits.....and tells me my inspection is dead and is writing me tickets for both, what an ass. He goes back to write the tickets then comes back to my car and asks me to turn my car on, i politely tell him "am i required to?" he says "no, but now im gonna write you an exhaust ticket for not cooperating". Mind you i had the clutch in the entire time i saw him and he didnt hear my car at all. I then argue that the law is subjective, but obviously this uneducated townie knows what subjective means and just keeps trying to quote laws and such, so at this point I'm done caring and i go about my way with 3 tickets.

Anywho, i don't really care all the tickets were my fault, just figured id get a little bit of leinency.

Oh yea and whoever has the bearing press PM/IM(SN=DierwulfBL) and lemme know what kinda price you're lookin for to help me out, thanks.

Well, you know what the law is - if you dont follow it, you get busted.

RJ - busted many times for plates/inspections/tags/etc

I wouldn't have turned my car on, and if you didn't, I say take it to court. You might get off for the front plate, if you get it inspected you won't have to pay the inspection and if the officer didn't get a good listen to your car (and it's really not loud) you might get off on that, too. Besides, writing a ticket for "not cooperating" is bogus, and I'd say so.

As American citizens we all have the right to be represented in court. I have always believed in going to court, even if it's just to plead guilty, and explain my situation. You didn't have a front plate: you're guilty of breaking the law. However, it's not your fault the plate was stolen -- the Judge might have mercy. Or he might not. Either way, the worst that can happen is you have to pay the amount you pay now. No biggie.

You're also going to draw attention to yourself in a car with a body kit, wing, lowered, loud exhaust, etc..... if it were a stock honda accord he probably wouldnt have even looked.

Harrassment? Not really. Just the way it is.

yea, im going to court and showing pictures of the license plate mounted and the inspection done and the cop said i should get those fines dropped for just showing that i complied but the illegal exahust im also gonna fight cause right when i saw the cop i put the clutch in and at idle my exhaust is silent and it was a motorcycle cop and i know those bikes are about 2 times louder than my exhaust, oh well. I don't really mind paying fines, none were moving violations and money isn't an issue. Anyways beer pong is calling i must go..........also RJ you are completely correct, i wanna sell this POS and get a low key car (honda most likely) just gotta sell the POS cnt mgnt BAH, time to drink peace

Join the E30 crew, I'm sure the cops won't harass you nearly as much as they would a Japanese sport compact.

Or buy a domestic - I roll around H-Burg with straight exhaust and cops never give me a second look.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

i REALLY want a conquest TSI/the mitsubishi counterpart(if there is one). Can't beat a 4g63 RWD turbo, with basically unlimited fairly cheap aftermarket. Only trick is......tricking someone into buying my busted pile for a halfway decent price, so much useless money poured into that POS. I've always been a sucker for a dc2 integra........or even better an EG hatch with the dc2 front end........mmmm mmmmm. But the conquest tsi is my fav, nice and low key, and fast. I actually saw one up at neighbors when i was walking back from campus one day, looks great in person(bone stock even). A Volvo 850 turbo wouldn't be too bad either. No more rice though, i've satisfied the ricer in me for about 4 generations

Well you have sort of a sleeper so naturally they'll leave you alone. If you had a Camaro/Firechicken or Mustang with straight pipes you'd be very popular with the The Man

get a turbo mkIII with a BHG for $500, put in a MHG and get to know the engine at the same time, you'll have a rock solid pig of a car and a boosted straight six at the same time. If you want more details, start a thread about mkIII supras and we'll go in depth on it.
