Well after being happy about the car show and getting a trophy (even though there was only three classic cars :roll: ) I had to hit the road to get to work. So here I am on 81 going about 70 when the steering goes out of the stang. Turn the wheel and no response. I tried slowly tapping the brakes to slow down with out going out of control, but the car started to swerve left so I figured I was off the road into a huge hole on that side, but then it changed its mine and pulled to the right and shot me off the road plowing into the ground like a tank. It went into a valley and was like buried underground. Luckily I remained unscathed and was just really pissed off. The passenger fender has a huge dollar bill size chip of paint missing and its detached at the bottom. Who knows what kind of suspension damage it took. Ah well, life isn't fair I suppose. Anyways I had a good time at the show lots of fun checking out all the cars and we lucked out with the weather. Perhaps in the future we should limit it to college aged students so we dont have old dudes who are loaded with dough show up with their cars vs us poor college kids. Good seeing everyone tho.

Have you trouble-shot the problem yet? Was there a lot of play in your steering wheel before all this?

sorry to hear about your car! things could have been way worse though i'm sure. at least its repairable.
i think we definitely may need to have a "collegiate" category or something next year to help with the issue of having some old dudes with stacked cars roll in and be competing against budget conscious cars.
I don't really think a collegiate idea would work, because there are a few college students who are stacked thanks to the old dudes that gave them life
