My new ride....Im back on the bandwagon!

Just picked up a '92 240sx this evening.

Hopefully this one will turn out better than the 240 pile of ass that I had a couple years ago!





Its a nice car, the owner kept it in good shape. The price was damn good for what these cars are going for now. It does have a couple little quirks typical of any 13 year old car but nothing too bad. Ultimately its hard to beat the fun/practicality/cost ratio of a 240sx.

The car for now will just be my daily driver, saving me from putting 90 miles a day on the WRX, and saving me from paying for premium gas.

Although I can already tell Im going to want to track it!

It has 140k miles. Not low, but not too bad either.

The paint really is fantastic. It has a nice coat of wax on it, but even so it looks amazing for its age.
It spent most of its life in NC, and probably a garage.

It has a sony CD player and aftermarket speakers, which I was originally happy to see, but they actually suck a whole lot of ass, so I may put some decent speakers in it.
Any recommendations for cheap good sounding speakers would be appreciated. I never thought I would be "spoiled" by the factory CD player and speakers on my WRX, but the aftermarket setups in both my miata and now this car suck bigtime in comparison.

Like I said it will be my commuter, but I plan on upgrading things a bit as they break. For example Im sure that the factory goo-filled TC rods are quite busted, so I will replace those with some pillowball TC rods. Maybe some KYB AGX next...... and damn there are some nice, subtle yet agressive bumper covers out there for this car....that hood sure is heavy, some CF would lighten it up....autopower makes a great bolt-in rollbar for it........SHHHHH STOP! STOP THE VOICES IN MY HEAD!
