Grassroots Motorsports (GRM) poses a challenge to its readers each year. For the $2006 challenge your goal is to get a car to be able to compete in a drag race, autoX, and a concourse (car show). The real trick is you can only do it for $2006 dollars. Your best bet to learn more is to pick up a copy of GRM at Books a million or such and read what people are working on for the $2005 challenge, you will see some crazy shit.

edit: yeah at first the challenge sounded simple enough. CRX, B18 swap and junkyard turbo. Then I searched the 2004 winners... yeah won't cut it. So yeah, I think i'll sit out of this one. 8)
Travis isn't sure he wants to be on it, but he said he'd think about it. I'll confirm his position with him, we might have an opening.
Also going to work through some meeting times, or maybe some AIM chats or something to get started, then we'll get started with some ideas. The whole thing will probably be pretty low-key until the car show.
