So who else got ticketed this weekend?
#1
I got a ticket for an expired state inspection (in the truck). State cop passed me going the other direction on a 2-lane road in Fluvanna. I didn't think anything of it, but then 5 minutes later I see flashing lights in the rearview. Must have been a slow day...

I know RJ got a ticket too... Anyone else?

Thats right, after about 4 years without a moving violation I got tagged. I was driving from GTA Atlanta to Greenville, SC for work saturday night, the road was more or less empty and I had the speedo pegged at 90-95 the whole trip. After making excellent time up there, right before I got off my exit I got pulled by a trooper in an unmarked camero following a little ways behind me.

I was riding the right lane, and slowed down a bit b/c of two cars jackassing around in front of me (hitting brakes, slowing down, speeding up, etc) so I, hid the 3rd gear v-anos (just not the same as the v-attack Sad ) and pulled around to pass, and then almost missed my exit so I got immediately back in the right lane after I passed the two clowns to get off the highway.

The ticket - "Improper Lane Change". Its $75 - depending on when the court date is I may try to come up and fight it to keep the points off (I dont even know if this is a points violation in SC). The good ol' boy cop says I cut off one of the cars pulling off the highway, and in his nice southern drawl "I reckin you was runnin a bit fast back thar in this thang too, bout 80-85 - speed limit aint been 70 since you left the jawga stae line". I knew he couldnt get me for speeding, since he didnt have radar on me so I just didnt argue and took the ticket.

So thats my story.

i hate those things. they scare me. actually, i hate any unmarked car. its funny, your story sounds like alot of situations i went through when i was in SC last summer. cruising on an open highway, at high speeds, and they sort of show up out of nowhere. the only thing that saved me at those times was that i get leary of any car coming up in my rear view if im going as fast as i am, so i slow down fast and early.

i'm sorry to hear your 3rd gear venus just isnt the same as the good old v-attak

my friend got pulled for a "improper lane change"
he realized he need to be in the left center lane of the four lane rpad, where 295 interchange of 95 north, the northern most one. It was without a blinker cause he had to get into that lane fairly quickly. He said he wasn't speeding really and didn't jerk it into the lane, and changed lanes before the broken whie line became solid. He just changed lanes in front of a cop. Once he changed the lane and was in front of the trooper, the lights went on. The cop told him "I just got this car today" hinting at if he didn't get the car that day, he wouldn't have been pissed off at my friend. So he got that ticket, and drving without a license because he forgot it at home. So that's two tickets at once.

In other news, my friend was in a car with one of her friends and had a truck nearly run them off the road completely, they missed the truck and rolled the car once, and then landed on the wheels.

RJ,
The same thing happened to me when a 5 series BMW kept blocking me and dicking around to f- with me on 66 a couple years ago.
I spooled the b00st with the left foot on the brake and shot by him before he could block me (b00st > v-whatever), and a cop was right behind to nab me. He said he saw what the dickfucking BMW driver was doing, but I was the one who "made the first move" even though I was just trying to get away from him.

He gave me a "unsafe lane change" which I thought was the same as "improper lane change" but it wasnt. "unsafe lane change" is the same as reckless driving.

So just be glad you got "improper" instead of "unsafe"

damn, sorry to hear about the tickets guys.

As for virginia, the whole state pretty much sucks. Driving to and from Florida, near west palm beach, i saw 4 cops in virginia and about 3 all the other states combined. Cruising 90-100 mph was kinda nice through SC, GA, and FL. The traffic was even going at that pace, which made me fell more comfortable to do so.

When I was helping seabass install the motor in his civic, he said his neighbors got 'busted' by the HOA by not getting their door knocker approved before putting it up.

My suggestion was to use a big bronze dildo as a door knocker and let them come complain about it.

Wow. When I'm driving the Z on the interstate (or 29 for example), I just set the cruise at 5 over and don't mess with it... Cops still give me the evil eye - fortunately none of them have caught on to my no-inspection, no county-sticker, no front-plate trick yet (although that will get remedied as soon as I'm back from Atlanta).

I got pulled over bringing the new car home, for an "improper lane change" while trying to clear the lane for the very same trooper who had now pulled me over.

Let me go, though. "Next time, son, be sure to use your signal." Yeah thanks, smokey. Now go find someone breaking the law.

15 seconds later, he did, and had them pulled over. He didn't even get out of my sight before he had somebody on the side of the road.

And where was this, you ask? Why, Shenandoah county. I would make a Nazi joke here, but I don't see any way to make Shenandoah into anything nazi-related.

As a bit of side trivia, one of the first things Hitler did was ban citizens from owning any firearms.
