What do you guys know about Miatas

A friend of mine is looking for a Miata cause she thinks it's pretty. Anyways, what should I look out for when we go looking. Our max price is 3 grand so it'l have to be early 90's. Were there any problems for the 1st gen, and any particulars we should look out for.

Honda Accord "Spec Family Car" drivers should not talk trash about other people's rides.
90s and early 91s has shortnose cranks that can crack. Easily fixable if you catch it before it breaks. Other than that they are all solid.
