Looks incomplete to me, but what do I know. If I had a V6, I'd go twin turbo. Single turbo V6= teh suck.
Of course, if the manufacturer of my vehicle offered a factory-warrantied forced induction system, why I'd probably opt for that.

yeah i was thinking about single turbo'd V6s today on my way to work... you know, just one of those "wait, that doesn't seem right" type things that god knows what spurred the thought... just doesn't seem fun, twin turbo is definitely the way to go on a V-motor.

Or an H-Motor. I was trying to explain to my friend who wanted to TC his 2.5RS that what he needed to do was get a pair of top-mount turbo manifolds and some T-25's. It'd be easy to fab AND he has a MAFS. So all he'd need is a tuned ECU and a fuel pump. But he was absolutely sure that single turbo was the way to go, because the twin turbo legacy in Japan didn't make as much power as a WRX. :roll:

Well if i was really gonna invest into a turbo kit i would def go for the TT set-up, just something about a twin turbo Tacoma that makes my brain itch. As for the TRD set-up it is nice and the fact that it is backed by Toyota is a big factor. I've seen what the TRD can do and it is pretty impressive...

With as far as turbo technology has come in the past 20 years, the major benefits of a TT setup arent as big as they used to be. Response time, lag, and threshold are all dramatically better for single turbos than they used to be
The Legacy B4 is a perfect example, a couple years ago Subaru switched from TT to single turbo, and actually gained torque and midrange

Work with me here. If you were fabbing a turbo setup, would you like for one pipe to go aaaaallll the way across the engine bay to meet up with another pipe, disrupting flow, and generally being a pain the dick? No, easier would be to just run 2 turbos.
I'm not saying it's the ideal situation. H engines are cool, but they're cool NA. They kinda suck for turbo.

It isnt nearly as bad as you think it is, there is no mile long pipe, you would be surprised how close they are. It really is a non-issue, and if you are that concerned about uneven exhaust pulses, an equal length manifold can be had for cheap.

Suck? why? explain with some tech
dont get me wrong, Im not some boxer worshiper like a lot of the subaru guys, it has its benefits and drawbacks just like any other, but saying the layout sucks for turbo is pretty silly, especially given the layout's success at international level competition

Oh, I like boxer engines. They only suck to work on, and if you're coming from my perspective, from a guy who thinks that every part you might need you should just be able to fab up from scrap metal lying around your house, an H-turbo manifold is too much work for not nearly enough reward. For a private fabricator. Is all I'm sayin.
