I'm heading back up to NoVa today (Tuesday the 19th) and while I'm up there I'm going to have a little chat with Brian at Ultimate (FWD, RWD, AWD, dynojet) and see what we can work out as far as having the club dyno our cars there sometime fairly soon.
So, lets pack together a date and an idea of who would truly be down.
My comments:
I do not want to do this any earlier than Friday, November 5th. Since I also plan on organizing this even - I think we can all agree to a date later than this.
I assume a friday, saturday or sunday (if Ultimate can accomodate us on a saturday or sunday) would be a preference for most of the club. Doesn't matter to me...I'm going to take whichever day we pick off.
There is going ot be a limited number of spots, probably around 12. First come, first serve (CASH IN HAND to secure the spot) with a choice of pull order is what I'd like to do.
I'd also prefer if we gave first shot to current club members...not hating on the ogs but I'm trying to do this for the current lineup. If we can't fill it up this way then ogs and friends can help round it out.
Questions I need answered are, those of you who are interested, do you need a/f readings? How would you like to set it up as far as # of pulls or amount of time on the dyno? I don't think very many of you are trying to tune so I figure 3 pulls a piece would work for all.
Anyway, kick it around...maybe talk about it at the meeting (I'll be in FFx). If you don't know what usual dyno rates are, they are between 85-100 so that will give you an idea....the entire point of doing a dyno day is to get a break on the price and I'm pretty sure we can do 75 bucks or less but I got to talk to them.

*Edit. Knowing that Ultimate Performance is located in Sterling, VA (1 hour and 45 speed limit driving hours away) would probably help out. This would be a day long affair...leave early, eat and talk shit while the cars cool down, dyno, eat and talk more/less (whichever is appropriate at this point) shit, drive home.

First off - I don't pay my dues and put in the time with the club to be excluded from anything. I'm just as much a member as I was 3 years ago. So F that.
Secondly, I'm definitely down for a dyno day w/ the Z. It needs a baseline pull before things start getting crazy  I wouldn't mind A/F reading just for shits and giggles, but I don't plan on doing any tuning so it doesn't matter too much. 3 pulls would be more than enough.
A Saturday or Sunday works best for me, but I'm pretty flexible with enough advance warning.
My two feet.
Does this mean i need to organize a OG dyno day? cause i sure as hell need to get the pile back on the dyno to deal with the fuel issue... but if you are going to be a jack ass ... dont count on this OG to fill a spot for you if need it...

I'd come up just for an excuse to drive my car and meet some of you ppl. I personally don't care if my car doesn't get run on the dyno; I live like 25 minutes from that shop so I can do it whenever. Plus, I just reflashed my ECU so I need another week or so of good driving before boost levels will be peaking again. I'm in, just let me know when for sure.

So paid OG's are not current club members? Who made this decision?

Ok - we've made the point. Anything posted on these forums is fair game for ANY PAID MEMBER, no foolin'. You guys (Kaan and Travis) need to come up with a single event and repost a consolidated thread in the Events section. Concur?

I guess we'll have an "exclusion list" for events paid with alumni donations.

Ok, now let's not get our panties in a bunch here. Before we determine the definition of a paid member, etc etc, we need to determine a few other facts.
#1, Would it be possible to aquire the dyno for an entire day, perhaps on a sunday, where a staff member or two would be willing to stick around for some cash. (I'm assuming this place isn't open on sunday)
#2, HOW MANY PEOPLE WANT TO DYNO THEIR CAR. Seriously. I know I'd like to establish a baseline on the Supra, but I have to get it running first, so I can't count myself, but realistically how many people have 75 dollars in their hand ready to spend on a set of dyno pulls. If there are only like, 10 people total, then why the hell are we arguing about paid members, og's, and the like.
#3, When is the best date...for the company? Personally, I'd like as late in the year as possible, opportunity for me to get the HG replaced and work out some bugs.
Basically, Travis, find out more details first. I think there's interest, but do you have anything concrete from Ultimate's end?
