As of last week this law went into effect that forces the 3 credit reporting agencies to allow you to freeze your credit for free. Now's a good time!

Two were relatively easy, Experian makes it the most difficult at the moment and tries to steer you to do anything else; I had some trouble with that one.

Didn't know about the law. I froze all 3 of mine and my wife's back when the big data breach happened. They were all offering it for free then as well.

Also already froze all 3 for free, Transunion actually gives you a login and "button" you can use to freeze and unfreeze it when you want. So if I've needed it for some reason I can just log in and ask the creditor to check Transunion while the other two stay frozen
