There was an article in GRM about it, but they replaced a whole bunch of shit at the same time and came with to the conclusion of "our sht didnt blow up". There wasnt a before/after test.

I'd just run 80/20 distilled water/coolant.

i wasn't using proper capitalization, often the case with a forum post. had i been, Evan would also need to be corrected.

Pete, I might still have that GRM, the test mule was a 5.0 mustang. Basically, yea they said it worked, but for a track car, I wouldn't trust it.

Thanks guys, I actually have that GRM too, that's where I first learned of the product. I was curious if anyone had seen/heard anything about it outside of that article, such as on track, different engines, etc.

I like it becasue it does bond better to the engine for better heat transfer, it's not pressurized, and it's not corrosive. Since I'll have an aluminum head, the non-corrosivness is attractive.

On their website, they instruct that it can only be used when a block is bone dry. Since my engine is basically brand new, completely clean, and w/o a drop of anything in it yet, I figured that now would be a perfect time to try it out.

The obivious disadvantages are that it's expensive (as compared to water...) and it is not readily availble, as MPG9999 implied with his ability to get waterwetter from pepboys.

If noone has heard anything convincingly negative about it, I will probably try it out. If I don't like it, I can always drain it and add water, just not the other way around.

I've changed everything else about the car anyhow, what's one more thing... ;-)
