Save posts as drafts
#1
For example, I'd like to go ahead and start my write-up on the Z's 120k mile service, but I don't want it posted yet. The most convenient place to do this would be here on the forum (rather than a text file on my local disk) - but I don't think the capability exists in the plain vanilla phpBB.

Jack - any chance of installing one of the mods that adds this functionality? For example:

There are so many reasons to keep the forum as is. Moderation, people forgetting about posts, all of the 4000 reported glitches with that mod, incompatibility with our skin, problems with other mods(interaction)..... etc.

phpbb is already a more difficult forum to use than vbulletin, I think the features should make things less complicated. That's just my opinion though.

there is one admin mod, and there is the quick post mod. in all seriousness, if this is something that EVERYBODY wants, I"ll look into it further and possibly try it. (didn't mean to squelch your idea) I just read some horror stories about it on their forum though... and the last thing I want is some weird ass adjustments to our tables that I have to go through and kill manually.

vi thanks Smile

The point of this (for me at least) is to be able to keep it all on the forum - consistency and convenience.

I voted no - make your post as a PM and send it to yourself.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.
