Wrenching on the Integra - March 5th
#1
Feel free to come out and watch. you might get a little dirty... when i get pissed off i'll need someone to "drag the old man out from under the car and crawl in there and break the bolt loose."

Things to do:
1. Swap Transmission/Flywheel
2. Front Pads/Brake Flush
3. Remove Rear Wiper (drop'n LBS)
4. Install Coolant Gauge/Pod
5. Remove front/rear bumpers... maybe reinstall with quick disconnects
6. Remove airbags and install Momo wheel and NRG hub (drop'n more LBS)

let me know if you are coming... that way i know how much beer and food to have on hand.

It's okay seems like the last downhill to your place I almost always bottom out but that's about the worst of it.

Edit: I can bring my car to strip the interior besides the front airbags

I like Kaan. But I'm going snowboarding in Deep Creek and that sounds better than working on busted Honda's in sub 40 degree weather.

i did remove the transmission from the other integra in 10 degree weather in a drafty garage.

We stopped around 4:30.

We basically worked on the transmission for 3-4 hours and the front transmission dowley would not line up no matter what we did. We tried wiggling it, moving the jack position, bolting up a few holes, etc... bitch wouldn't give in to us. The rear dowley pin went in and would bolt up but for some reason the front didn't want to co-operate.

Flywheel and clutch back on[Image: 21ffe56c79e5284cea077a77b6cda4d3.jpg]

We unbolted it tried to mess with the dowley pin and put it back in, the transmission decided to drop on Kaan's eye so that was the end of that.

Kaan got his steering wheel on, passenger airbag out (15 lbs or so), and rear muffler off to paint. So some progress was made. [Image: 1407b3862a7991e9f36440b37ce1b885.jpg]

I think we just needed an extra set of hands or at least someone who isn't a newb/derp at changing transmissions.

Last but not least Kaan became a Pyro-maniac for a bit. Don't give Kaan brake cleaner and propane torch [Image: a72ff091991b27de332ef8be390c9d30.jpg][Image: ca82ad7b282efa1b28cc0b5274fc44f8.jpg]

Sucks when shit sometimes doesn't slide on right.

Jason Happ and I did his transmission on his GST about 5 years ago. Spent probably 3 hours just trying to line up the trans. Wouldnt go on. Went back inside, had a couple beers and relaxed. Came back outside and slapped it right on. Funny how that works. Good luck!
