w00t! I signed it.
That was the sole reason that I got pulled over last summer, since the cop couldn't find anything else wrong with the car.

I signed it. My acura doesn't have the front holder. Dave, how much was your ticket for the plate violation?

The law WILL NOT change, no matter how many petitions are signed, get over it and put a front plate on your car Now, I know, argue back with "But if we sign enough petitions theyll HAVE to change it!!!! hock: " your wrong.

I drive a car with the aerodynamic capacity of a brick, what can I say?

it just doesnt hurt aerodynamics, more importantly it blocks airflow to the radiator and even worse if you have a FMIC which could cause catastrophic problems of overheating/detonation, they should add that into the petition

Heh, I've never heard of people having problems with overheating or pinging just because they have a front license plate.... even with a FMIC. Generally, if you have a FMIC then you have plenty of surface area from which the intercooler can draw in cooler air.
I've seen FMICs that cover even more surface area than the one above. Sure, it might not be as efficient to have a license plate on the front if you have a FMIC, but I really doubt it would lead to engine problems.

To stay on topic, I'd sign that petition just to give cops one less spot on my car to target their lasers 8)

I'm surprised at Ryan's luck in avoiding tickets. The boy never renews his inspection, registration, and in some cases his license, yet he doesn't get tickets for them.

Let it be known that if a front plate causes any noticable difference in your running temps, that your problem is NOT the front plate, youve got far greater problems, like a blown water pump or one with poor seals, a slipping waterpump belt, a clogged radiator, etc. An arguement that a front plate blocks the radiator (which again, in most cars the radiator is behind the grille, or the majority of it), is a pretty weak arguement. Add that to the petition and it will more than likely lessen the credibility of any other arguements on there since its so easy to disprove.

oh well, i dunno about you guys but i have a large gaping hole right where my radiator is and since i have to have a front license plate it takes up almost the entire hole, so as opposed to getting really really good airflow to my radiator its all blocked and deflected downward around the bottom of the radiator back to the tranny/engine. And you gotta make things sound bad if you want the law changed, cmon everyone knows that
