Brother in law wants to paint the stock steelies on their Subaru, probably a flat black or undercoating or something fairly easy. Sanding, etching, media blasting, taping things off, whatever they need for prep doesn't sound like something I wanted to volunteer for, so if anyone who enjoys such things and has some experience with it would like to give him a quote for the set, send me a PM. I would assume he'd just want to give you the car for a couple days and return when it's done.

Uhh Plastidip?
Wash wheels. Take off and spray. Peel off what gets on the tire. Or, put trash bag over rotor/caliper and spray

Too cold to paint. He is going to have to
A. Wait until spring.
B. Man up and do them himself.

can anyone recommend a shop up there that would do this for a reasonable price?

Has he considered powdercoating? I can't think of any shop that would specifically paint steelies for him, unless he finds some small wheel & tire shop that'll do odd jobs on the side. Or, troll craigslist for black steelies, I would think they'd be pretty easy to find.
