Only the truly old-school among us will remember Erik. He was in MM way back in the day, drove an old Fiat and joined us for many a party and autocross. Well, it being an extremely small world, I ran into him yesterday at a soccer game (he was playing keeper for the other team). He's married now, living in Madison with his wife. He still has that Fiat too 8)
Anyhow, I thought some of you guys would be amused - since he basically dropped off the face of the Earth a few years ago. I've got his number - gonna try to get him involved again if he's interested.
My two feet.
Anyone else remember him rebuilding a transmission in his dorm room?
That is classic MM

Oh man Erik was a really cool dude. I remember his story of the fire dept getting called when he was rebuilding a transmission in his dorm room. And who can forget when he took the muffler off his X1/9 for the car show ? Tell him I said wassup!

I was about to ask if that was the transmission guy. The story was hilarious the way he told it... how there was a fire alarm and from outside the building through the window he could see the head RA, fire chief, and others standing around in his room trying to figure out how that transmission got there. I also liked his "well, no one told me I couldnt" response to the whole thing.

Yeah I remember him. I always tried to get him to meetings, but he was always busy. He lived across the bathroom from me in Huffman.
