wow, no one is signed up for groups 1 or 2? damn, you guys are missing out. VIR-N is awesome. i didnt realize we had so few drivers at this event.

Group 1 was filled when i tried to sign up, I'm told I can sign up for group2 now but I killed my azenis at Summit main.

actually I think i've done more trackdays than Mike this year, but then again he does have his hands full with the 2 wheel addiction.

and i'm still slow, but thats another story 8)

Great weekend! It was nice being able to hang out with everyone again and meet the "significant others"! I took some pics of the karting enduro...I'll post those up later. Smile

Chad, you scared me dude. I'm on the radio with you and I hear "On the roof! On the roof!" and my stomach sunk. I think I darn near beat the abmulance to the cutover ;-).

I'm really glad you're ok and all that safety gear did it's job. We'll get it put back together in our usual better-than-before condition.

As for my driving, I had a great time. I only got 4/6 sessions in but that's ok. I skipped my last session on Sunday in favor of getting home nearly 2.5 hours earler.

The XR held up well, amazingly well in that heat. I drove it 10/10ths all weekend and it didn't get remotely close to overheating. That's a big hurdle crossed in my book. Now, the transmission is spewing fluid for some reason, but I don't think it was heat related. It started during my last session at Summit Main a few weeks ago.

Highlights of the weekend include Chad's and my win at the Karting Enduro, passing my fair share of fast cars in HPDE 3 while still on street tires, getting an official race car log book on the XR, and Maeng saying "I followed you up turn 7 and as you accellerated out you lit up your rear tires. Damn that thing has a lot of power!". :-).

Good to see everyone too. As always, can't wait until next time!

Sorry man, I kept saying it b/c I couldn't believe it myself and at first I was a little scared b/c I didn't know if I could get out, but gravity took over and I managed. Thanks for coming to check on me.
