What you get:
Free Entry to Hyperfest
Free Floor, Air Mattress or Cot (your choice) at Hampton Inn Friday/Sat night
Chance to crew for an American Iron Mustang!
Inside knowledge of whats going on during the Thunder Races!
What you provide:
Help with tires/brakes
Spotting information via radio
Prepping car/driver before going on track
and many other fun things!!!
But really, if someone is coming up to watch and wants to get involved I would like some dedicated help for the sat/sun races. If you can provide this just let me know and please don't back out. You don't really have to know a lot about cars or mustangs, the kind of help I usually require is more of handing me stuff that I forgot after I'm already strapped in the car, gridding, checking results tire pressure/temps and most of all the spotting via radio. I have 2 crew radio's so I could use more than 1 person there.
I'm naturally available to help as long as I'm not working on my car, but I figure you were assuming this.

Yea I know but HPDEer's are busy w/ their own track time and classroom sessions plus their own car. I need somebody there and not running off to get on track or into class or fixing their own stuff. If the car breaks of course you will be there to help fix it
i'll likely be out there saturday and would be glad to lend a hand, but i don't want to have any sort of obligation unless something broke or you're out on track.

I wouldn't hold anyone to anything. Truth be told I wouldn't give anyone a job like that. What I want is more of someone to talk to on the radio and stand next to Matt and relay track conditions and green flags to me and such. If you want to do that that would be great!

Payment is required for me to relay conditions to your "spotter", afterall that would require me actually paying attention to the radio once I've released the cars from grid.

I was thinking about picking up a couple of the long range GMRS radios and headsets. Should work pretty well

yea, like the real radio's. These are UHF, anything else won't work at VIR. You MIGHT get the GMRS ones to work at summit but they won't stand a chance at a bigger track or one with lots of elevation changes. Plus you will need a roof mount antenna and helmet mounted radio gear.
I'm suppose to have a license to use these but I don't think anyone's going to bitch out in the middle of bumfuck.
