I figured we should all get together and ride before the MM Houseburning party We'll likely all not be in any sort of shape to ride a tricycle, let alone a crotch rocket on sunday
Meet at my place in Vienna and roll out at 10am. Route TBD.... if someone has any ideas for the route that'd be great - figure being out 3-4 hours.

When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

If you've got a suggestion for the route, or the pace, or anything else then speak up while we're out instead of turning around and heading home.
That ride I cut the pace down quite a bit due to the overnight rain, roads I'd never seen before that were wet in spots, a group that had never ridden together, and we had a relatively new rider with us. We all still had a good time, and we picked up the pace when we hit roads that werent still wet.
If y'all want to go on ahead and push the limits of a sensible riding pace on a group ride, go ahead and we'll collect you further on down the road somewhere, we wont hold you up.

Well its good that we're talking about this openly rather than getting into a dog fight on 211 and peeling someone off a guardrail.

I did not go home. I politely excused myself and rode the roads I wanted to ride.
You do not have to defend yourself. I was not cutting you down or anything of that sort. Everyone should be riding within their limits and and a pace that makes them feel comfortable.
There is no chance I want to ride for 4 hours in one sitting. That is much too long for me on my bike. personal choice.
That's completely understandable but your previous post was a mention of pace, not location, or longevity. Based on that post you either thought that RJ was going too slow, or too fast and that's what he was replying to.

Well Jay said he was going home, thats just what I ass-u-me-d, with the inference that the collective group was going too slow.

I'll try to be more clear about the expected time/mileage for future rides if I'm doing the organization - 4 hrs on an RR is a long way.
Most of the weekend rides I've done with a group have been 3-5 hrs, 120-140 miles, with stops. Unfortunately you waste 1.5 hrs just getting "out" to where the fun roads are and back. I'm all for it if y'all want to do shorter rides too in the area, make the plan and I'll be there if I'm around.

I enjoy doing great falls rides. Its close and twisty. GW Parkway is a nice relaxing ride also.
