Yeah, it was gonna happen. 75,000 trouble free miles, it was bound to happen. The Sebring's water pump took a dump. Thanks to Ryan for bringing life-giving water and coolant to me on Friday! So, being a 2.5L Mitsu V6 (huge pile of stinky shit) I can't work on it. Far to many things to break or funk up on the timing belt driven internal water pump. So it at the garage and is hopefully gonna get back on the road soon. Until then however I am rockin the Spirit. I forgot how much I love the boost! Its nice having a 4-dr car, with lots of room, and old man style comfort. "The Spirit of St. Boost." If you see it around....holla!

hahahah thats alright the DSM "broke" for the first time in its life. Apparently the Walbro Fuel pump is defective, sucks, not the cars fault, just stupid walbros.....I am gonna hopefully get it to keep the pump going long enough to get to northern virginia, otherwise imma have to tow it. They arent going to be able to receive the defective fuel pump (if thats it, I havent taken a closer look) in two weeks. Yeah its rained today shutup, and I was gone for the weekend.

No, these are not "DSM" The other guys can fill you in a bit more. My car is more Chrysler then the Sebring Coupe'...it is a Vert. The Spirit belongs to the Garage now, so that is how I am driving it (dealer plate).

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alright now that ive gotten over you saying avengers are dsms....pm me if you want to know what REAL DSMs are considered, and what is CONSIDERED DSMs to the dsm community. Technically not evne 2gs are DSMs as Diamond Star Motors died before the first 2g was produced. A different company then came into effect. PM for more details...
why pm? most of us know the deal, but a write-up posted for all couldn't hurt.

I mean its not like its some guy with an Alfa is claiming its a Ferrari.
There is no panache in DSM.
Nah, its more like the guy with the Fiero with a Ferrari bodykit

First of all, I try to keep posts on subject so Jeff can revel in his Sebring glory lol.
Oh and panache? Why I get so aggravated is because I dont like a little neon engine being associated with a rally-destroying engine that is in my car. My car is technically not a dsm, but it is accepted the community that 1g/2g/and GALANT vr-4s are considered DSMs.
How would you appreciate your STI being bashed for lets say...the Forresters problems? They have no correlation, and many dsmers are annoyed at how people group all mitsubishis into DSMs and then say DSM this and DSM that. That is how aggravating it is. I hate people asking, what do you have, ...a gsx..., oh whats that? ,....an eclipse, oh and they kind of give this look of piece of shit. DSMs have no respect. AWD and turbo a DECADE before the wrxs came to america. Magazines RAVED reviews about DSMs, saying the cars were "bats outta hell" "rockets out of corners". They were flabbergasted and the incredible launch out of the hole with awd. The 1g was tested and they pointed out how it "wasnt the fastest sports car 1/4 mile" but it destroyed everything 0-30. BTW this comparison was put against corvettes, supras, rx7s, where the DSM should be comparisoned against integras for their price range.
Sorry, I get so frustrated when people call DSMs pieces of shit, when for its price range ROMPED on everything. Its even a better daily driver than an integra as the 2g dsm has all of its 214 lb/ft of torque at 2800 RPM and the AWD makes no problem of bad weather. I used to have a FWD car and I realized how annoying and how bad it was to step the gas and just spin.
*rant over*

If you ignore it......
If you're getting bent out of shape over what someone on the interweb thinks about your car then you should get out more

but but... dsms are pieces of shit. you're lying to yourself if you don't think that. sure, fast cars for the money, but you can't tell me they don't fall apart if you even look at them funny. please don't bother citing one example of one lasting longer than it should have; i've been around cars and dsms long enough to know better.

I know TurboDodges are POS...but thats what I love about them. What fun would a reliable car be!!??! If I'm not listening to piston slap or counting the days until I loose a torque converter I'm not a happy man.

who cares if they're pieces of shit or not? as long as you like'em then so be it. you're not the only one that thinks dsm, mistubishis, eagles, talons, etc are hot shit. i dont mind my STi being in the same category as forresters, i think those are badass for pseudo wagons. civics and nsx's are both hondas, as is my parent's lawnmower. i think the only thing we can agree on is that jeff has a serious mopar/dodge disease and someone needs to put him out of his misery
