it's not about us telling you what to do with your life, it's just a matter of posting it up on this forum that's attached to Madison Motorsports as a name. The club could lose it's credibility with the university and cease to be a club. That's all, i hope everyone understand that. Nothing against anyone in the club. Big Grin

trust me we all do crazy/stupid shit. i try not to post it up on here though. Most of you know about the antics and stuff, b/c we've talked in person

han, i've been biting my tongue, but i've had enough. you're a squid/idiot, and as a club we cannot afford to have folks such as yourself around. there is/was a motorcycle club at jmu, perhaps you should look there or heck, found your own club for people who want to be dumb on motorcycles; maybe you and all your buddies can get that approved by jmu! you weren't around for the founding of this club so i can understand not knowing what we went through to make this a real thing, but people have told you multiple times now what's up and then you belittle them? seriously, please leave and do not come back. take your butt buddies with you too. thanks!

someone call the WAAAAAMBULANCE!

i dont know what kind of lame car you have, but what exactly is the point of 380 some hp if you're never going to exceed the speed limit? I dont think thats justifiable unless you actually own a track. im not sure if you guys are incredible pussies or just pretending to be incredible pussies but either way its pretty pathetic.

Ross, you're missing the point. Your attitude is rude towards this club, arrogant, and incredibly ignorant.

This club has made a very strong effort to become a track oriented, well respected community. We do not participate in street jackassery, especially of the sort you're advocating. End of story.

If you're going to to make an ass of yourself we don't want our name on it. That's our right as an institution and you're not in any place to question it. If you want to send your self hurtling around at cruise missile velocities in Harrisonburg, be my guest, but don't talk about it on the MM forums.
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

Yet again I don't know what street jackassery you're referring to, and no, I don't plan on chronicling my high speed shenanigans on this forum. I originally made a comment about trying to calibrate my speedometer at a high speed on an empty, straight road or track and you've managed to turn it into "OMG Y DO U THINK U CAN DO DAT?!?!". The reason I tend to avoid this forum whenever possible is because there are a tremendous number of threads that turn into shitfests and circlejerks just like this one. For every useful "hey guys lets ride" thread there are ten "OMG YOU LAW BREAKING MONSTER" and "which topgun character is the most fuckable" threads. If you guys are so keen on safety, why not sponsor safety competitions? You could find out who's capable of driving at the slowest possible speed through harrisonburg and crown him "madison motors king of safety!". I've seen cars with MM logos driving a lot more recklessly through campus than I ever will, so don't pretend you're all saints either. This self righteous commentary got old a long time ago, so you can fuck off yourself.

han, sorry about your thread btw hahaha.

No one would say anything to you about calibrating your speedo on track. But be honest, that's not what you were talking about.

The reason everyone here gets pissed off when people bring up highly illegal stuff on the street is because we have had to go through so much crap with JMU over risk and safety. Sure, no one here is perfect but if you're going to do over the top stuff keep it to yourself.

Truth is, people here have crashed, have gotten their licenses revoked, have been in jail, and have gotten hurt while doing something stupid on the street. Everyone thinks(or thought) 'bad shit won't happen to them'. That's why people get pissed when someone new comes along and starts going down the road to the same result and acts like somehow the rules don't apply to them.

You're free to feel however you wanna feel and do whatever you want to do. But if you don't want people to jump down your throat, don't post that you're going to do something that would land you in jail.

The boards aren't meant to come off as anything but welcoming but it is also important to realize that safety is the main concern of this club. Of course the club as an organization cannot control every member since it really is only a $20.00 fee to join and you don't have to ever show up again, but most members find it acceptable to be courteous and follow some simple guidelines. Its not our job to criticize your judgement when it comes to riding but it is important that as a motorsports enthusiast club that safety must be urged. The founders of the club worked hard to get the club to where it is now and I respect them greatly for such contributions that they have made and are still making to this day. Simply put, please be respectful to the club and the members.. this does not need to go any further into a whos right or whos wrong. Obviously this is a convtroversial topic but sarcasm and name calling really isn't necessary. Many threads turn into piss matches just based on assumptions, but that is pretty unavoidable on a forum. Of course accidents happen and nobody here is claiming to be a "saint" but we do value what the club stands for and would like to see it continue for many years to come. I can only talk for myself in saying that I do my best to save the crazy stuff for the track and it seems to me that every PARTICIPATING member sees it the same way. I'm sorry if I'm speaking out of place or if I offended any of the forementioned people in this thread but it would be unfortunate to turn people away from the club based on such situations. Just keep it safe out there and respect your fellow motor enthusiasts. Please

Thanks for the last two comments, they were actually insightful and I happen to agree with most of the content.

Also, for the record, if you guys think Han is a squid I think you're going to have to revise your defintion of the word because frankly he's one of the safer "stunt" type riders I have ridden with. He's probably the only person I consistently see wearing ALL his gear--pants and boots included.

Ross, you got me all wrong. I don't wear gear! You just happen to caught me on a laundry day. My cargo shorts and wifebeater were being washed, and i couldnt really wear my flipflop with that leather jacket i found lying around here. So, yeah...for all those times you saw me wearing full gear, its not by choice.

combat camo pants, oh dude, those arent even real riding pants, its only made by Draggin Jeans with kevlar reinforced in the ass and knee/shin. Also with knee/shin guard armor inside the pants. I only wear them because they looked cool, protection?....screw that!

Jacket...dude, its an Icon, they are only for the bling~lol.

Boots...they match the pants, or else i would be in my birks or flipflops, HAHAHA.

Gloves - leather with titanium = major bling.

On another note, Han.. I saw your Gixxer today when you were riding with a few other guys through campus... that bike is gorgeous. The bling was nice and shiny too.

Han, if I may say so, you have to do a similar flame/tribal thing on your new bike as you did on your old 600RR. It looked awesome. And I could tell you took your time matching every bit of clothing with your bike

If I ever get a bike it will require training wheels and large red stickers stating please don't hit the noob. It will also need NO NO stickers on anything above 5k on the tachometer, race car style.
