after reading some posts on other forums, i heard they pushed back the date to the 5th at certain places and 6th at others.

Just got off the phone with EB over by my house and they won't have it till tomorrow, Bestbuy thursday.
Hell yeah, it looks sweet. I saw some game footage, I can't wait. AND it's made by the people who make GT, so it should be a pretty accurate simulation. It's weird, my roomates can't stand GT becuase it's too "real", or too "hard", which is funny becuase that's precisely the reason I love it. They also can't drive, maybe there's a pattern........ hehe.

For all of you guys that think that GT is too real you need to spend some time with F355 Challenge, Live for Speed and that GP Legends (I think?) PC game.
No offense, but GT is a poor excuse for a simulation. Its a lot of fun to play but in terms of real simulation it falls way short of F355. I reckon TT will be much the same.

Yeah I think TT will be fun and might be the best moto sim for a console to date but it'll still be far off from a sim.
GT and GT2 were the best sims of the time but then F355, GP Legends, and LFS came along. I think even Forza is a little more accurate than GT at this point. After GT2 they didn't really make the physics model much more realistic, they just focused on more cars and better graphics. A big mistake IMO. I don't really care if I can drive a 1 hp Mercedes Buggy Coach or any number of hundreds of cars I don't care about. Give me a realistic sim of a handful of cars and I'll be happy. I've been immensely happy with F355 and it only has one car 
Unfortunately F355 is not as fun on PS2 because of the controller so you might wanna pick up a Dreamcast for cheap and have at it. Or just get GP Legends and a wheel for your PC.

You guys will have to tell us what you think of the game. I read about some aspects of the game on H-T that didnt sound so appealing, but IIRC those were based on an IGN review.

Yeah you can't buy parts for your bikes so that kind of sucks but then again I LOVE F355 and you can't buy a damned thing in that game. It seems like a bit of an oversight for a game made by Polyphony Digital though. It certainly would've been cool to be able to buy different windscreens, exhausts, cams, swingarms, turbos, nitrous, and other stuff for your bikes.
On the other hand adding chassis modification to the game would probably be a bit more difficult than with cars because motorcycle dynamics are a bit harder to model. That might be why there are only 4 bikes on track at a time (but then again the Moto GP series has a full grid of bikes...).
I guess we'll find out tonight.
