a car, and what you do with a car, exists in Real LifeÔäó

these people are getting entirely too worked up and emotional about something that happens in fantasy land. And the fact that they are drawing direct relation between the fantasy land and reality is just sad.

They're not drawing direct relation, at that point the line between the two is blurred or just completely erased and its all the same. Probably makes for some fucked up individuals Wink

Yeah I mean, I could see how people would want to do an online funeral thing but I wouldn't be surprised or upset to have some goofballs come try to wreck it. There are no consequences for killing people in the game so you have to expect that some assholes would try something like that.

That's war is about man. Don't be surprised when the bad guys are willing to stoop to a low level just to frag your ass.

that said, the worst part is that some of these gamers across our great nation, are not in the best mental condition and could very well take their revenge for this act to real life. not saying it "will" happen, but our past has proven that people like this do exist.

i'm not a gamer hater either.

Well if you want to take it in the trule role playing fashion as a lot of gamers do. The Alliance and the Horde are at war, at any given moment they are trying to kill one another. War doesn't stop for a funeral no matter how important or unimportant the deceased is. Sure sometimes in history a truce was called during some battles to honor the fallen, in some societies based on honor the battles only happend during the daytime and at night hostilities ceased in order to collect the dead and mourn them. This doesn't meant that this has to happen. These Horde characters globally announced their intentions and the Alliance took advantage of that. As G said earlier, you make a global announcement about a fallen gang members funeral services and you can be sure that a rival gang is gonna show up to add more bodies to the services.

If these guys had been really smart they would have kept the location secret and the only way to find it out was to meet in a Horde controlled area and get the location that way. That's what I would have done at least.

True, but it would have been more difficult to organize a raid of this type under this situation. It's possible, but more difficult. Or if all else fails, just make the ceremony in a Horde controlled city.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that these guys shouldn't bitch, they made themselves easy targets.

yeah but you figure people would have enough respect for human beings to not ruin it. heck, on my server people have enough respect to not gank groups taking down outdoor bosses...

ok. So I have no fucking clue how this game works, really don't even know what the game is, but once I figured out what was happening, I thought it was funny as shit. I'd be pissed if it happened to me, but I'd probably still laugh about it a few minutes later.

Well you're gonna get griefers everywhere, and people who are truly role playing a not so honorable character woulda done this raid in a heartbeat. On a non-PvP server, you don't have to worry about shit like this, and now you know why I'm there. Someone from the Alliance wants to fight me they have to challenge me, or I go into BG and know to expect an attack at anytime.
