To MM Staff,

This info below was e-mailed to you but I have also posted here. Please understand that we cannot have last minute cancellations or no-shows.

Details are as follows:

We provide a hotel room per 4 workers which means that you currently have 2 rooms reserved for your group for both Friday and Saturday night. We had two people recently request to work (Jeff and Sylvia), and if we are able to add those two from MM, we will add another hotel rooms. Chris has to confirm with the track that we can subtract flaggers from the staff they were providing.

Address of ShoneyÔÇÖs: 1347 Berryville Ave
Winchester, VA

Chris Procopio

Jason Ray

When you leave on Sunday, you do not need to check out. Just leave your room key in the room. A continental breakfast is provided and there is an indoor pool as well.

SCHEDULE

You are not needed on Friday evening; however, you are always welcome to come out and lend a hand in tech. I am sure Kaan would appreciate it! We need at least one helper in tech on Saturday morning from 6:45 to 7:45, so please let me know if you are able to help out.

You will need to wear pants and closed toed shoes but you can wear short sleeves if weather is good. Please wear light colored clothing (khaki, white, or jeans). Do not wear red, black or yellow since you could be confused by drivers as a flag.

Please report to the track by 7:30AM on Saturday morning as there is a mandatory meeting at 7:45AM near the tech shed. When you go through the gates, you will say you are working the event and will sign a waiver.

The mandatory meeting will begin at the tech shed at 7:45AM. After the initial announcements are made, a call will be made for all flaggers to follow Mark Adkins to the Cobetto Trailer to retrieve your equipment. Please leave the meeting at that time. The trained flaggers will be assigned to a station and will go. If you are in your second weekend of training, you will also go to a station first thing that morning. If this is your first weekend of training, you will attend a classroom session and will then be assigned a corner station. If you are working grid, you need to report to grid at 8:15, and the Chief of Grid is Matt Leech. He will explain what you need to do. Timing and Scoring assistants and our announcer received a special e-mail with other instructions.

You will receive lunch tickets for both days and tickets are good for sandwich, chips, drink and candy bar. You may want to bring your own small cooler for other drinks and snacks you may want during the day.

Saturday evening: 6:30ish we have a party at the main building with food and drink. Please come! (Don't stay up too late as you will regret it in the morning!)

Sunday morning: Please report for the mandatory meeting at 7:45AM and you will be assigned a corner station for the day.

Here is the schedule and other info for the event: http://www.nasaracing.net/Shenandoah_April_06/event.htm

At the end of the day on Sunday, you will receive a worker logbook if you do not have one already. For your first two weekends of training, you receive driver credits. When you become a flag captain and can flag solo, you will receive a check for $150 if you worked both days. It is your responsibility to maintain your worker book with your credits.

Thanks, and please feel free to ask any questions. See you soon,
