Blah blah blah my car blah blah.
I've been a little less than impressed with how my car has been running lately. Low airflow numbers and no real kick in it when driving. I don't know how Dave felt when riding in the car back from PTG but I was pretty disgusted.
So I went out a few nights ago, laptop in the passenger seat, intent on doing a little tuning. First thing I did was turn the boost up to 25psi. After blowing off vacuum hoses like no other I got a solid log in. Little more knock than I wanted to play with so I played around with it and at 23psi I was generating the airflow I wanted and had knock down to something I could tune around which was like 10-12 counts.
I'm having serious problems finding a good place to do logs. I can't do them in second gear because I'll break traction as soon as I spool, and 3rd gear runs are a little faster than I want to be doing with cops out there.
Decided I'm going to get the car dynoed for sure this July. There is a good place up in Winchester called AR Fabrication so instead of just calling them up, I drove up there today and talked with the owner for a while. They do a lot of custom fabrication and build ups and specialize in DSMs and Hondas. They had a S2000 that had appeared in I think SuperStreet and Brad Brook's drag Colt. I personally saw his Colt go 10.8 last year on a stock 4g63 block. This year the engine is built and they are expecting some easy 9's.
Anyway, not much life going on in the forum right now. I think everyone should drop a little bit of what is going on if not with their car then at least with themselves.

as for me...
I'm personally on the verge kicking some ass here in my house, roomates are really getting on those last few nerves I have at the end of the semester.
I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and along with it a lot of stress. I'm thinking it may be possible to get straight A's this semester, but it's gonna be close. This will be a pretty big thing to me, since I have NEVER done this before.
Next week, I'm upgrading to Stoptech brake lines and the TT master cylinder on the IV.
The 240 is still in peices; will probably be fetching the parts donor in the next couple weeks, so that project is going to pick up very quickly.
I'm going to be bringing the III up here in the very near future as well, so that I can sell the bastard, pay off the IV, and fund the prep of the 240
All three cars will probably be getting full fluid flushes over the course of the summer.
sounds good guys. i've had alot of projects due this week and the beginning of next week, so that explains why my posts are usually at ridiculous hours in the morning. anyway, the slowcord is pretty much as usual, the soft clutch never did return to normal, but i adjusted my seating position (to compensate for the clutch engaging farther up the pedal) so i can drive it as well as i used to. the black paint has been turned to a hurl green from the lovely pollen storm, and to add to the fun, i have slaughtered at least half of VA's population of insects all over the front of my car. basically im saying it needs to be cleaned like whoa. no mods are planned for a long time. there really isnt anything i can do to it at this point that will have an actual effect on performance, but won't cost alot. with this nice weather i've been rocking all the windows down on every and all occasions, its pimptastic!
oh, and to give you guys a heads up, im gonna be in souf carolina for 10 weeks (internship) starting next saturday. so im sorry i wont be able to join in much of the fun you guys will have around here and nova until mid july, when i get back. if you're ever coming by spartanburg, SC, drop me a line and we'll drink a few brewskies and shoot the shit. oh yeah, if i get a chance I WILL go to road atlanta or CMP to see some racing or possibly do a HPDE.

Meh, I'm not doing much. Finishing up the last of my coursework, drinking my face off pretty much every night. I should be pulling straight A's, but I think I bombed an exam this week, so I may be stuck with all A's and a B I have 1 final next week, and my last classes are tomorrow. I go to finish up my SCUBA certification on Friday, I haven't dived since last semester
CAR
The front upper shock mount on the passenger's side is royally f'd. It knocks every time I hit a bump. With my first paycheck from AOL I'm gonna fix that, finish my brake swaps (have a bunch of pieces, just missing a few), throw on some comptech swaybars, throw on the ground control coilovers, and maybe look in to some 13x9 wheels w/ really sticky tires for autox.

Life:
Getting ready to go home. Truck is coming up sunday to take all my things home and the roomie and I hit the road for southwest virginia on wed. Gradewise, 3 A's and 2 B's. Working in the customer service office of a grocery store during the week, and the accounting office on saturdays.
Car:
Runs strong, sounds good, needs some brake work. I need to bleed them, the peddle is pretty soft. I averaged out my gas milage from the drive up and got 25.2 with two other passengers in the car and all our stuff, not too shabby. Summer plans for now are try to find a new insurance company. Mine upped my premium after one year of no accidents or tickets, doesn't make sense.
Unfortunantely, I probably won't be able to join in on a lot of the summer festivities up in NOVA. I'm at least 5 hours from anything that will be going on, unless it is near UVA, JMU, or at VIR. But you guys are welcome to come down to Bristol Motor Speedway and see if you can drive a straight line.

Life: FInally the end of the semester, finished up a bunch of projects. Haven't been on the boards much because my computers mobo fried when it was hella hot and JMU wasnt turning the AC on. I guess CPU temps around 154* F arent good hehe. Probably getting a job at a really local computer shop (really local out in the boonies is hard to come by) selling dells and various other computer components. I'll be going to Summerduck and VMP a lot this summer to run some drag, pull some 17s
Car: Horrendous oil leak, lookin like my car is screaming for the swap. If all goes as planned i should have the 4age 20v thats chillin in my basement in some car by the end of the summer. I want to slap it in the celica but then i wont be driving for a while and i need my car to get to work :-\. So basically I'm looking into buying a AE86 chassis or whole car and swapping the 20v in that. If i can find a strong running AE86 ill make that my daily driver/track car and take the celica off the road while its swapping. If the 20v makes it in the celica that will make only two 5th gen celicas in the united states with the swap, and when people see the engine they wont even recognize (just like when people see molding  ) as of right now im only 1 of 3 completely molded ST coupe celicas with the full kit (rear end doesnt even come close to fitting) so i guess that will make for one rare car (that noone will give recognition to) 20v should put either car into the 14s. Unless of course i can get my neighbor to weld me a tube frame chassis(he's a pro rock crawler) to house the engine mid engine RWD, like a 165hp go kart :-D. Anywho, just gotta start collecting money for such projects, if anyone knows where an AE86 chassis is holla at me (or strong running ae86 for cheap).

Car:
Well, Sasha is coming together nicely. I gave the car a thorough cleaning when I installed the S14 seats, so she shines on the inside, while still having shit-paint on the outside.
After reporting that my trunklid seller to Paypal, he finally got off his lazy ass and shipped my spoilerless trunklid. The paint doesn't quite match, and it's got a tiny dent, but looks loads better. I've been collecting parts I'll never use like a madman, such as the 90MM Q45 mass air sensor that I will never, ever make enough power to take advantage of. I've got all of the five lug swap parts I need to do the swap except for wheels, which have proven very elusive to my "I don't pay any more than 50% of FMV for anything" skillz.
As far as the engine goes, it still sounds like a Cummins and it still eats coolant. But it also still runs, so fuck it.
Next up is to source wheels and some nice brake pads for the S14 Silvia K's brakes, then, this summer....rebuild and TURBO!!!

your choice with that car is either strong running or cheap. 86's are getting snatched up fast in the south, and are rustbuckets in the north, at least from what ive read/seen.

Life: Graduating in a week and it's probably the most bittersweet feeling ever. Expendable income will be fantastic, but I'm gonna miss the hell out of getting shitfaced like 4 times a week without anyone playing the 'alcoholic' card. Speaking of expendable income, I still don't have a job.
Car: Lotta shit in the mail - exhaust manifold, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, o2 sensor. Also have all new coolant hoses and accessory belts sitting here in my room. I can't wait to get all that shit on. Then I'm gonna upgrade to 325 vented rotors, 750iL master cylinder, do all the rear suspension bushings, and be done for quite some time cause I'll finally be comfortable taking it to the track. In the meantime, I'll be autocrossing every chance I get.
